Hollywood Suit — Local services in Provo

About a year and a half ago I needed a suit for my brother’s upcoming wedding so my mom and I looked at a couple different suit shops. We walked in Hollywood Suits and we could tell it was different and special. I’m not sure if Emmanuel the tailor is still there, but if he is, just know that he’s awesome. He showed us some of the suits they had in stock that night and it was so much fun to have him show us all the ins and outs of the fabrics they were made of, the styles of the cuts of the suits, etc. It was easy to tell that he really loves suits. We came back a couple of different times with my brothers to get us all suits. Eventually we found a suit that looked really good on me, but we would need a different size coat than pants. Emmanuel didn’t have the correct size suit in the correct color so he ordered a coat that should work with the pants that worked really well on me. Once the suit arrived and he was working on it he realized that it was ever so slightly the wrong shade of blue. He simply couldn’t bring himself to allow us to buy the suit that didn’t match the pants, so he worked tirelessly to adjust the suit that the pants came with to have it ready in time for the wedding. His end result was a perfectly tailored, beautiful suit that I still love to this day. Part of the reason I’ve taken so long to write this review is that I couldn’t decide the best way to express how grateful I am to Emmanuel for all his work. When he was tailoring the suit he said that he wanted to remember this suit in particular and for good reason. He was so kind working with us and so I hope that he hasn’t yet forgotten this suit and that this review might find him well. It was also funny how he repeatedly told us he was sorry that we kept coming when the actual sales representative was away, but in all honesty I think he was just about the best suit salesman there is. I also remember that he took the time and effort to learn all of our names, mine, my mom’s, and my brothers’. There simply aren’t words to describe how much I loved working with him and the happy feelings I get when I pass Hollywood Suits on University Avenue. Thank you so much Emmanuel for the suit!

Emmanuel is truly a master of his craft. Not only was he able to provide me with a quality suit at a reasonable price, and one that fit me well (no small feat) - but really the most meaningful part to me was the overall experience.

He took time to teach me about the nuances to different styles, cuts, materials and construction methods of different suits. I didn't anticipate what I would gain from spending time with Emmanuel, since I was just going in to 'find a suit.' He also went out of his way to expedite the items needed and put in extra work to get it ready in a much shorter timeframe than normal, even when I insisted that it didn't need to be rushed. But Emmanuel wanted me to have the suit in time for an event, rather than me having to rent something.
