Cafetería La Diferencia — Restaurant in Puerto Rico

Got to meet Xavier a couple of days too late into our trip. I wish I would have eaten here on day one in Luquillo. The desayuno is a must if you are waking up early to go on a hike. Since they are open at 5:00 am, a cafe con leche (coffee with milk… and yes add the sugar…) was such a good compliment to an amazing breakfast.

I highly recommend if you are traveling and needing to feed a family or are doing your best to eat on a budget.

Arrive Puerto Rico at 3am and by 5am, this was the only highly rated local place open. Order the pastelillo carne, which is like an empanada. The potato ball with meat inside and fried was also good (both are on the box clear counter box thing). We ordered the Cuban and bistec sandwiches to go. Pretty good too and all for less than 21usd, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The son was also very nice to us and explained every food we did not...

Great food with amazing prices. Staff with superb customer service. They go above and beyond. Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was delicious as well as the chicken pastelillos and their café con leche. My son wanted an ice coffee and asked the chef for ice and a bigger cup and he helped with no hesitations and was very intrigued. I’m from NY and ice coffee to us is like getting a soda in the bodega....
