Boot Barn — Local services in Puyallup

My boyfriend and I were very excited this store had opened. Upon walking in we were amazed at the displays and the wonderful smell of leather! We were immediately greeted by an associate who asked if we needed help and we said no thank you we’re just browsing. I went to a rack with shirts and my boyfriend went to look at hats. He saw a few he like and pulled them off the shelf to come ask me which I liked better. As he was pulling the hats down instantly en employee was on him saying “Are you ready to check out? Let me walk it up for you” My boyfriend stated no thanks I’m just looking to show my girlfriend. As he was walking to me he was hounded by yet another employee, making him increasingly uncomfortable. I meanwhile was trying to look at shirts while 3 other employees in the women’s section watched me like a hawk. We literally left without fully looking as we felt as though we couldn’t just browse and enjoy looking at things. I have been in customer service for 23 years and know that customer service makes or breaks an experience. I understand being told to be helpful, and friendly. Or watch for shoplifters, but those things can be done without being over the top. We unfortunately will not return, and that’s too bad as the store itself is beautiful. Cute selection of product, but it was extremely annoying being followed around the store and asked by multiple employees if we needed "help" over and over. I should add we were the only ones in there that this was happening to. My daughter has been eyeballing multiple pairs of jeans and I wanted her to try them on in store rather than buying them online. We walked away with one pair because I didn't feel comfortable being in there anymore. Guess...
