I sold quite a bit of scrap gold pieces and random pieces as well as coins here that I inherited. I am a single woman who walked in here completely by myself. That can be a little bit intimidating. I appreciated their thoroughness in locking the door behind me, Guarding the items that I was showing from any other potential on-lookers and making sure that they gave me realistic information about which items were very valuable and what real market value was for various things that I otherwise wouldn’t have known about. Precious vs semi precious stones. Gold vs. silver. Etc . Not only that, but they were able to give me cash on the spot instead of a cashiers check. Which I very much appreciated Since the reason I was selling, this was that times were a little bit harder than normal. I also appreciated that they didn’t pressure me to sell anything that I wasn’t comfortable with, and they gave me good advice on which items I should have appraised as the value to replace would not be the same as the retail or scrap value.
As a single woman, it was also nice dealing with other women. They encouraged me to come back with coins that I have as well and that they could give me an idea of what those...
Read moreCan't legitimately claim one way or another, because I was dumb and took the cash. They offered me roughly 20% below spot for a silver bar which they claimed wasn't silver. The lady wouldn't show me the scales, and would only "demonstrate" that her 10ozt bars weighed differently than mine by putting each on the scale and frowning. Wouldn't show me the readouts.
As I said, I was dumb (read: semi desperate) and took the offer, because it wasn't stupidly low, but the truth is that I should've gone ahead and taken the bar and had it verified by a third party. It was a shady deal, and I'm very hesitant to do business here again. I only got the low offer when I mentioned third-party verification, and the lady was extremely reticent to hand me back the bar with that eventuality on the table.
Anyway, I did take the offer, but it felt very shady. I sincerely regret accepting the offer; i felt kinda dirty afterwards based on our interaction. I will not...
Read moreTried to sell them so silver today. They would not take my valid Passport. And told me it was illegal for them to take passport as ID In washington for selling items. Even though the sign they pointed to on their window clearly said you could use a valid ID passport or milatary ID. after leaving I looked up the law in washington which she told me said you can't use a passport however it clearly says a passport is perfectly acceptable. And I've used a passport at this location and quite a few other businesses for the sane purpose in the rest past. So I will just be taking my business else where from now on. And I buy and sell a lot of gold and silver so someone else will gain my business over them not know the rules properly. And if they don't understand something as simple as that what else do they get wrong. I wouldn't want to do business with someone...
