I recently visited this Dick’s twice in two days and I must say I’m not very impressed. The size of the store is pretty large as most Dick’s are but the floor plan, I’m not a fan of. They seem to organize it mainly on brand but while inside the brand section, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason.
The shoe department needs to be better managed as well. They had basically no shoes available in my size, which is a women’s 8. I know that’s a very popular size but for that reason in particular, they should have a better stocked inventory. The shoes seemed to be displayed in an unorganized fashion and the employees in that area don’t seem to have much information to offer about the shoes. I was able to find one pair of shoes in my size that worked for me but that was the only pair they had available.
The price point is pretty high. I personally feel a lot of the items are overpriced compared to the quality.
The store is located in the South Hills Mall, so there is plenty parking and it is wheel chair accessible , though I may add the floor plan can be a little tight in a lot of areas.
I won’t say I’d never shop here again but I will say it wouldn’t be my...
Read moreWent in to the Puyallup, WA location to buy our boys baseball gear. First, we asked for shoes from a sales associate. He said he’d be right back. He never came back. We waited for ten minutes until another sales associate “Malik” helped us. He was the only worker there with any sense to them. He should be the store manager.
After getting our cleats we walked around looking for baseball bags, pants, sliders and batting gloves. We went into the changing room to try on clothes and asked to check out some bats in the cage. We had two sales reps following us around the store. The manager said “make sure to keep an eye on them.” I was so mad, but proceeded to leave the cage without buying a bat. We went to the cashier to pay. Two associates followed us to the counter. I said loud enough for them to hear “I work hard for the money I earn and I don’t need to steel anything, so you can move your entourage.” I was going to leave all the gear and walk out but my kid was with me and he deserved the gear he was so excited to get. I’m appalled he had to experience this at age 9. Dick’s will never get my business...
Read moreEvery employee is extremely lazy and doesn't show any desire to help anyone. I work retail as well and see their attitudes and laziness as completely unacceptable. I got shoes as a gift, I was told that the employees were of no help during that encounter but the shoes were the wrong size so I had to go exchange them and I stood in the shoe department for 10 minutes and didn't see 1 employee and there were about 5 more customers looking around aimlessly for some help. I finally went to the cashier and they just asked someone to come out and help and told me to go back to shoes. I go back and still no one for another few minutes and then finally got the right size. I had dinner reservations so was in a rush and when I went to check out the guy was taking his sweet time and once everything was done he was just standing there so I went to grab the box of shoes and he decided to finally put them in the bag. Finally I come home and the stupid security tag is on one of the shoes! I have to go back and deal with more bull crap..cool. Will not be...
