Ashley Store — Local services in Quincy

I went to Ashley Furniture because I’ve been sleeping on a shot mattress for years because I will keep something for as long as it still holds together. But I’ve had back problems for the last year that give me the aches of someone who has worked harder and longer than I have - to the point where my family pleaded with me to go look at a new mattress.

I brought my mother and sister with me to ease my nerves for shopping for something so vital to my life... And I use humor as a coping mechanism when I’m nervous, so they keep me in check. The patient, hopeful and unknowing audience to my discomfort was Tyler, who showed me toward a machine that analyzed how I sleep and what type of mattress would be least detrimental to my suffering Millennial spine. He showed me to several types, brands and prices that would be best and was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about them all, while being supportive and considerate of my needs, lifestyle and preferences.

One thing that eases my anxiety with shopping for anything is staff that genuinely enjoy what they do. For the last hour of his work day, Tyler was in charge of how 1/3 of my life will be spent for the next 10 years - and he was laughing with me through the whole thing. Not only did I find a great mattress with good financing options, but I saved enough to want a new pillow like the one I tried out the mattresses with. I got my first adult bed set-up in less than an hour, and Morgan handled my mother, who promised to handle the initial money part if I would “just get a bed, for the love of God.”

Long story short- 10/10...

I had bought a 4 piece couch set in 2019 and had bought the warranty Ashley pushed during the sales process to protect my furniture. Trusting Ashley and their quality products - I bought the warranty.

Fast forward to July 2021 my pet unfortunately had an accident on 3 pieces of my furniture. I filed a claim with GBS and it is now almost November with absolutely no resolution in site. I’ve called the service department several times just to get a response they will reach out to GBS and get back with me. The warranty is a JOKE. I am now being told the pet accident may not even be covered because of some loop hole in the policy.

Not only will I not ever recommend buying this warranty service to anyone but shame on Ashley to even offering it. They are aware of how bad the product is and still continue to encourage their customers it is in their best interest, which it is not.

With a simple Google search I quickly have found I am not alone when it comes to having a horrible experience with the warranty plan or Ashley Furniture services. I have included just a few recent Yelp reviews from people who made the same mistake as I have.

Ashley, you have lost all of my trust as a buyer and brand advocate of your product. Hopefully this is an eye opener as your customers are speaking out and you soon ditch the garbage warranty services you are persuading your...

This is a huge store that I love going into. Their selection is great and their prices used to be fairly good but now it seems pricey. I have several pieces of furniture from them, but they are not very quality, but beautiful. As you can see from the pictures the fake wood cracks and peels. My dining room table is worthless when it comes to eating on it because it shows every mark when you put your glasses on it. But I can refinish the tabletop I think. I do love the looks and I get a lot of compliments and I'm satisfied believe it or not. I'm pretty picky but I think it's only fair to get good product when you pay those kind of prices. But that being said, I would still shop there because I do love the look of their furniture. I did buy a couch there one time and took it back because of the cushions were so soft that sest support just wasn't there. I know it sounds negative but I would still shop there again because now I know what not to get and what is good. I have bought two desk as well from them that were very nice.
