Stopped into Farm & Home Supply in Quincy, Illinois while I was out camping in the area — and I’ve gotta say, this store is a gem. It reminds me a lot of a cross between Tractor Supply and Blain’s Farm & Fleet back home in the Chicagoland area, but with its own Southern flair. The store is huge — seriously, you could spend an hour just walking around checking out everything they stock. They’ve got a solid lineup of outdoor and camping gear, lawn and garden stuff, tools, workwear, and way more than you’d expect at first glance. What really stood out to me, though, was the hunting section — it’s way more extensive than what I’m used to seeing back home. They’ve got everything from camo and accessories to hunting blinds and tree stands — and yes, they sell firearms, ammunition, and gun safes right there in-store. If you’re a hunter or into shooting sports, this is absolutely a spot you’ll want to check out. It also happens to be that time of year when they’ve got baby chicks and even bunnies for sale — which is always fun to see, even if you’re not looking to build your own backyard flock. The live animal section adds a cool, homey touch to the place. The staff was helpful and courteous. I asked a few questions and never felt like I was being rushed or brushed off. You can tell this store has a solid local following and they take pride in keeping things stocked and organized. Only downside? They don’t fill propane tanks — they only offer exchanges. That’s not the end of the world, but since I’m out camping, I was hoping to get a refill rather than trade in my tank. Just something to note if you’re in the same situation. All said and done, I’d absolutely come back to this Farm & Home Supply. Whether you’re a camper, hunter, gardener, DIYer, or just want to browse a huge variety of cool, useful stuff — this place has something for you.

Leon's integrity and expertise are the real deal! I initially planned to purchase 80 Green Giant Arborvitae trees, intending to space them 3' apart. However, Leon's professional advice was invaluable. He suggested a better spacing strategy, which led me to recalculate my needs. Thanks to Leon's guidance, I ended up with a superior solution - a double row of 50 trees that exceeded my original expectations. Not only did this improve my landscaping plan, but it also saved me money. Leon and the store graciously allowed me to return the 30 extra trees, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction over profit. Leon's honesty and customer-first approach may have reduced the sale by almost $800, but it gained them a loyal customer for life. This level of integrity and expertise is rare and commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend Farm and Home Supply to anyone seeking trustworthy advice. Leon and his team truly prioritize their customers' best interests, making this the go-to place for all your needs!

I decided it is not in my best interest to depend on this chain anymore for my horse or farm needs. It’s really important to keep a horse’s diet consistent and there’s no way that was possible when relying on Farm and Home. For the last 6 months it’s been ridiculous having to call several different locations every time I needed to buy feed. There are better businesses out there to spend money with, businesses that respond to a customer by delivering, or at least being a helpful shade of transparent in order to help the customer out. In contrast, I don’t see any of the other farm stores posting signs all throughout their stores stating logistic issues with this item or that item. Ironically, I’ve never noticed a sign for the feed I bought- which is Tribute Essential-K.

*UPDATE: I reached out via email as suggested by Farm and Home in their response to my review. This gave me an opportunity to discuss the issues I had encountered in-store over the phone with a manager. We had a really good conversation, I felt that the person who I talked to cares genuinely about customer satisfaction by the questions he asked and the explanations and information he gave me. I also learned that I left my review for the Quincy Store, which was not the Farm and Home store I thought I was leaving the review for. This review was intended for the Keokuk store!...
