Neighborhood League Shops — Local services in Radnor Township

The reason I gave this three stars , the clothes selection are great. I would have given 4 stars, but reduced to three stars; because of the one negative individual ,that volunteers , works in the back office. All the other ladies are kind, and extremely helpful. The mean, rude, unfriendly person has been like this everytime I am there. I ponder how hard it must be on a daily basis to behave like this in such a pleasant shopping atmosphere. I have shopped there several different times of the year. She is doing a great job of earning negative ratings for the Wayne clothing area of the shop. She is a dismissive and unhappy person. Beware Consigning here! Brought in a 116 piece set of antique dishes for consignment. Was NOT given a contract that apparently says you have 14 days to pick up your item or it “belongs to the shop”. Was not even told that verbally! Was not even given a courtesy call that my 14 days was up and the dishes would be taken off the selling shelves. Was told “That’s your responsibility. We are too busy to call customers”. Where did my dishes go?! They never gave me a contract to sign. Conveniently, their copy of my contract is gone... I’ve shopped at Neighborhood League Shops but consigned household items for the first time today. I learned that this non-profit shop has been in downtown Wayne since 1912. The shop only allows 15 items per consignment, and the contract lasts six weeks.
