I had a generally good experience with BHLDN. My only complaint about the store is that you have to walk through the Anthropologie retail section to get from the dressing room to the mirrors and your appointment guests. I also ordered a dress that was delivered to me without a tag. I didn’t even realize it until I saw some BHLDN dresses posted for resale that had the tag attached. The dress looked new, but the lack of tag probably would have been an issue if I needed to return. I also ordered earrings that were delivered in a plastic bag with the wrong item description. I’ve honestly bought cheaper jewelry on Etsy that was packaged beautifully, so I think BHLDN needs to improve on that. Update: I just had my first alterations appointment and thought to add one thing to this review. I was measured by two people and told to order one size up from what I actually ordered. I went with my gut and haven’t lost weight (I think I’ve actually gained a few pounds) and the size I ordered was the right fit. It’s not tight at all and my seamstress was impressed that no tailoring was needed through the waist and hips. I would have had to pay hundreds more in alterations if I had sized up as directed. Double check your measurements with the size charts...
Read moreI was so excited to receive my 94” Fern Marble Top cabinet on 9/12/25 that I ordered during the Labor Day weekend sale. To my shock, Anthropologie was literally not equipped to deliver what I paid for.
The “white glove” delivery service arrived with a standard sized dolly & 4 movers. After about 40 mins (without taking the piece off of the truck, or giving me the option to hire my own specialty item movers & re-deliver at a later date) the contracted movers tell my partner & I that since this piece weighs just under 630lbs there is no way they can deliver it up to the second floor. We have had numerous oversized/heavy items moved into our home & have never been told the job can’t be done. I called Anthro furniture customer service & they said the only thing they could do is provide a full refund. The movers then drove off with my cabinet that I didn’t even get to see! I have never experienced such a lack of forethought or solution-oriented problem solving from a company before, especially given the price I paid for what appears to be a quality piece...
Read moreWhile visiting the North Hills shopping area a couple weeks ago, I came to this Anthropologie with my special-needs step-brother (who happens to be African-American, I'm white) to shop for a new dress for an important event. There were 2 caucasian females working there. As soon as they saw my brother, one just stood behind the register and stared at him and the other ran to shut the huge, heavy, wooden door. When I decided to leave because I felt uncomfortable with the way they were acting, the female that shut it came up behind us to open the door so we could leave. I was so inconvenienced because I didn't get to buy a new dress and repulsed with their collective bias towards my family member. It was so sad because he didn't even know what was going on due to his autism. I will never feel comfortable...
