I have been a resident at Midtown Green since 02/14/2020.
I've been borrowing my mom's car since then, which is registered in NY. The car hasn't been back in 2 years to be inspected so I don't have an up to date registration. I have an official letter/form from the NY Dept. of Motor Vehicles saying that they are aware and I have an exception.
I left my car for almost 2 weeks in the same spot to ATTEND MY FATHER'S FUNERAL (which was 5 days ago) and my car was fine. I had been in town 24 hours and my car was towed, for my apartment lot, with my park placard on it.
I explained the situation to Unlimited Towing and they just want their money and said I was parked on private property (which is weird since it's essentially my drive way)
I called Midtown Green's leasing office and their Community Manager wouldn't even get on the phone with me. They said I needed to take it up with Unlimited Towing and that they would not reimbursement the $240 it will take for me to get my car back and that they had nothing to do with it I would have to talk t unlimited recovery.
Someone called a towing company to have me towed so I called my NEW apartment complex, Park Central (shout out to Hannah for being the absolute best) who gave me the number for Kane public safety. I also explained to her the situation and she said i would be put on a list so that I would never be towed from their deck.
I called Kane Public Safety and they said that all they do is patrol the deck and that they don't know who is supposed to be there and who isn't AND that they definitely are not looking at expired tags. I was told that SOMEONE in my LEASING OFFICE had to call and request Unlimited Towing to come get my car.
I would give this apartment complex a 0 if I could solely for this situation alone. Pay the extra money and move to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI lived here four years. The management company is Greystar, they handle conflicts and their staff appropriately. I experienced multiple staff changes but was positively impacted by them. The maintenance response is stellar, they keep the property in good condition.
If you are new to Raleigh, North Hills is a great place to live and meet people. This property doesnāt have as many amenities as some in the area but it does have a sense of community. The units are well designed with excellent kitchens and great closets! You can watch concerts and events from the pool and terrace. There were great events put on by the apartment that a lot of people participate in.
Things to be aware of that could negatively impact you:
Noise travels up and down between units.
There is a bit of a roach issue. It comes with a framed building in the south. I had my apartment checked weekly and treated monthly but had to constantly make that request over the four years. You pay extra for it every month but itās not automatic. Even if your unit doesnāt have them the pool and courtyard definitely always do.
Parking here is also obnoxious because Kane refuses to sell the owners the garage. You always have to deal with people pulling in and then pulling out because they canāt park there. It creates a clog at the gate every day during peak hours. Especially during concert season.
Previous review: I have lived here for 3 years and it has honestly been the best rental experience ever! In my time here the staff has turned over but as a resident never was I inconvenienced or disappointed. Maintenance is always on top of requests, the management team handles situations well leading with kindness. The perks are great from amenities to community events. Stellar place to live!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved to Midtown Green from out of state. Overall great experience and I would have renewed my lease if it wasn't for having to relocate for a new job opportunity. Pros: Excellent location Walk ability ( Walk to pick up groceries, grooming, dinner, school, gym, shopping, cleaners, social events & outdoor concerts on the grass right in front of your pad) Assigned school for middle school students is Carrol Magnet. Scheduled social events hosted by Midtown Green. Very safe area. Fantastic amenities including two outdoor BBQ stations, which we used often. Professional team managing the building. Street parking Efficient and friendly maintenance team. Overall, high energetic frequency in the building. Truly loved living here.
Cons: Note: Most cons apply to anyone living on the ground floor with french doors facing St. Albans drive or has children. Otherwise your good! Look down when walking the block on St. Albans. People do not clean up after their dogs. Poop everywhere! ( The building pressure cleans the sidewalk and passes the blower daily.) Roach infested area. (Midtown does a great job with pest control, but don't be surprised when you see them outside.) š Tenants complain to the office about children making noise in the pool. Valet trash is a required monthly cost. Provides...
