I have bought two Stressless chairs from Scandanavian at Rancho Mirage. The first needed replacement after the base cracked. I replaced it with a Stressless Large Sunrise, leather, Vente, Classic Base. Again, after Three years or so the base again began to crack. My theory is that the legs being inserted into the middle of the base ring weakens the base as it leaves only 1/2" or so on each side of the leg. Thus, the stress creates these cracks. I had the ring replaced in 2021(without difficulty) and was told by the person installing it that the manager said I would not be getting another base on warranty. So, when this one started to crack just two years later, I reinforced it. It lasted some time longer and I called Rancho to purchase another, as the Warranty was already excluded. This process was very difficult. The manager Scott, seem to cause issue at every turn. It took 4 months to get the ring delivered to Rancho. Scott said they would not deliver it to my home. The only reason the ring was ordered and installed is because of a wonderful person in the Scandinavian on-line department. She assisted in getting responses, in making sure there would be no charge for the assembly. Even when my daughter and I arrived, I am disabled and had to drive a long distance, the 20 minutes that Scott said it would take turned into over an hour. He won't say Scott was rude on this occasion but in my opinion he could have been more accommodating and friendly. Should I need another Stressless, and I likely will (They are comfortable but do not last long. My leather after 5 years is worn thing and split in two places. Read moreIt started off as a great experience. I was remodeling my home and building a home office. I went to the store and everyone was great I purchased a new living room set and complete office set. My desk was 2 pieces and a lot of the items had to be ordered. After waiting several months everything was in. I grabbed my truck trailer and handyman and went and picked up my new furniture. My office was not done being built had lots of delays with the permits so my desk 2 boxes sat inside my laundry room un opened till the day the office was completed. When I finally opened the boxes I realized I was missing the second half of the desk. I waited for the store salesman for 2 months while he checked inventory spoke with managers and they finally stated their inventory was not off and it had been to long they would not give me the missing part of my desk. I was upset and asked if I had to re purchase the item if they could at least sell it to me at cost and they said no they would not help me in any way. I have no choice accept to buy the missing return from them but trust me I will not purchase from them again. I did sign for the items I picked up however I never walked out back and confirmed the number of boxes. Make sure when you pick up your items and you sign for them you actually go back and make sure you got everything you signed for. I learned...
Read moreUnfortunately we’ve had two of the worst experiences when it comes to delivery. After the last experience when we bought our dining table the only reason we gave it a second try was we needed the matching piece of furniture. We ordered the console table on 3/6. We have an email that says it should arrive in 3-4 weeks. Yesterday (4/3) we hadn’t heard anything so I called. The sales person who answered said I needed to talk with Scott. He said he’d have everything ready for him and he’d call me back. No call. Today Scott called to tell me that it would be the end of the month before it will arrive. Just like with our last experience I hear all the excuses for why it happened. I stopped him and said just call me when it comes in and hung up. There is nothing worse then when poor business practices become the customers problem. Why didn’t he stay on top of the sale/order after what happened last time? I’m pretty sure if I hadn’t called we’d have no idea it was another three weeks for delivery. It is so disappointing. We’re from the Seattle area and purchased almost all our furniture from Dania and NEVER experienced anything like this.
