Karma Boutique — Local services in Rapid City

Quality clothing that doesn't make you feel like a warthog when you wear it. This used to be the only place I bought clothing in town, for a few reasons. Price per wear is pretty high here. The clothing feels nice, their buyer has an eye for texture. Colors and patterns are a wearable alternative to pieces sold just for fashion, and some pieces can even be kept more than one season for wardrobe basics.

Even though I'm downsizing my wardrobe to only 5 pairs of pants, 10 shirts, and 5 dresses, the ratio of my clothing is about half from here, evidence that this store has wardrobe "musts." This is the place to buy jeans and a trendy little blazer that takes casual to business casual.

The only thing that I would improve about the store is that I can find some of these brands at the Buckle and I feel that I'd rather have the rack space open to more freely browse the current options available. But does our burgeoning Rapid City economy allow them to charge enough for their clothing to provide the botique experience??? They aaaalmost have it.

I almost forgot. The dressing rooms have great space to try things on. You could probably do yoga in there, lol. ...

If I could give this boutique a 0 star review I would. While their selection seemed to be of high quality, the two young people working here were very upsetting. They stared at my husband, daughter and I in a very uncomfortable way, followed my husband around at a disturbing closeness, and we all left upset. I have never felt inclined to write a negative review in my life, but we were on a brief trip and felt it impacted the vibe of our entire experience in an otherwise lovely city. Shame on you Karma Boutique, you are now reaping what you sow. Treat people with the kindness and respect they deserve and reviews like this...
