Blaze Pizza — Restaurant in Rapid City

The service here is absolute trash. Wait 10 minutes to even be recognized that you’re standing there waiting to order and then another 15 minutes to begin the pizza. Top it off, they end up building someone else’s pizza that was in line after I was and wasn’t there half as long as I’d been waiting. This place used to be good but now it’s just falling in the dumps. Same unenergetic people that look like they don’t even want to be there. Absolutely no pace to be seen. The kid at the counter, you couldn’t even hear a word he was saying because all he did was mumble. Last time I was here I gave it benefit of doubt for a bad day, but today’s experience months later was pretty much the same exact repeat of that day and with the same people, somehow, but worse. I just finally walked out when they decided to skip my order and make the persons order behind me. What a shit show it looked like from the customers point of view. I wasn’t the only person wondering what the hell was even going on. I can see why the delivery services are so popular. They pay extra to not have to deal with the kind of idiocy running most places today. What a waste of my time....

Very disappointed in the service as well as the online ordering system. Not wanting to dine in due to Covid-19 restrictions, placed an order online for their "party of one" special. There was no confirmation text or email whatsoever. The end of the ordering process just took me back to the home page. I drove directly there for pickup and asked a lady at the ordering counter about order pickup. She directed me to the pay counter where there were several orders waiting for both dining in and pickup. I mentioned I was there for pickup and was told to wait in line. While waiting for over 20min, without so much as a second glance, I overheard staff mocking how pathetic a "party of one" order is and asking who would even order that. At no point did I receive a call, text, or email confirming my order was completed, let alone that it had even been placed. When I finally spoke up, the kid at the counter pointed to a box that had been sitting there on the counter the whole time. Pizza was now barely even warm. The pizza here is great, but their delivery is hit or miss. Bottom line up front, definitely be wary of delivery, but if you’re picking up or eating in, this place is great.

On two separate occasions now, my delivery has been very wrong. The first time, the DoorDash driver just took my order but labeled it as delivered. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager, and he told me he would refund my order. A week later, and I was told the same thing. The week after that, I contacted DoorDash and had them contact the restaurant on my behalf to receive back my $70 order. More recently, the delivery driver only delivered one of two pizzas that I ordered. When I called the manager he told me he could either re-make the other pizza, and I could pick it up, or I could get refunded. I asked to just be refunded, which he agreed to, and still have not received a refund, also after reaching out to the store and to corporate.
