Culver’s — Restaurant in Rapid City

Order curbside today and it was a disaster. First off we waited 30 minutes for our food in total. After 20 minutes we asked a worker that came outside if we had to go inside to get our food or if we would have it brought out to us. She replied with “we are busy and you haven’t waited that long”. First off super rude reply, I have worked in food service and would never have said that to a customer, and I had proof we waited for 20 minutes at that point.

So we waited another 10 minutes before we went inside and to see what was going on.

When we got inside the same lady raced over from the drive thru (where she had a headset on and was working) and handed us the food and proceeded to say it wasn’t that long.

This is not how you treat a customer considering I have on my phone when the order was placed and when I tapped the “I’m here” button. It was a total of 30 minutes.

Will never be back. You guys really need to check your employees. Love the food but the customer service is not worth it.

I don’t leave a lot of reviews because I feel positive ones should be left for exceptional service and quality, and negatives for poor. I believe we should all show grace and patience for mistakes since we’re all human, but this has to be the worst fast food service in the country. The location on West Main in Rapid City is especially poor.

In the last 3 visits, I witnessed a shift lead berate an employee in front of the dining room customers for all to hear, had an employee scowl at me when I asked if my daughter could use the ice cream token on the spot, and today had my drive-thru food missing an item. I can tolerate the missing food item at least once, but this is ridiculous. I know it’s hard these days to find good help, but this location owner is clearly either not present, does not provide adequate training, or doesn’t hold employees to a respectable standard of service.

I want to like Culvers, but I don’t think I’ll ever go back and I’ll have to give my friends and family the same advice to avoid the negative experiences. I know you can do...

Consistently disappointed by this place, I keep going hoping for better results because there are very few decent options near my house (or honestly, in Rapid at all) with a drive-thru... but the food is always completely underwhelming. Their malts are not at all malty, their mix-ins for shakes and concretes are pretty much flavorless, the one time I ordered a veggie burger, it came still cold in the middle, and with almost no veggies or dressing at all on it, just one pickle, one microscopic tomato, and a sad sprinkle of lettuce with a tiny smear of mayo... And I just now paid $6 bucks for a sad excuse for a sundae that was essentially just a scoop of ice cream with nuts on top -- barely any fudge or sauce, and NO whipped cream whatsoever. I think I am done giving them any further chances at this point... for the above-average prices they charge for fast food, you would think they could at least get things right more often than not. The only reason this gets an extra star is because the staff, at least, is always pleasant...
