The nerdy nuts experience I had found actually while grabbing a drink at the brewery next door. I noticed that there were walk in hours to create your own peanut butter mix and had to try it out. For around $15 you can mix together a variety of toppings into a plastic container. They had about five different flavors of peanut butter to choose from like white chocolate, dark chocolate, plain, etc. Next you can add sauces and syrups like chocolate, marshmallow, strawberry and my personal favorite banana mellow. After that they have two different toppings stations you can pick different candies like Reese’s or stick to like chocolate banana chips or chocolate chips. It was a lot of fun and does not take very long. My recommendation would be to layer your peanut butter with the toppings and sauces but be careful not to over do it on the syrups because I accidentally put way too much. I ended up with a dark chocolate banana mallow mixture with some Reese’s pieces and mini peanut butter cups. The husband created a white chocolate, mallow, and toffee mixture. Once down they will seal your cups for you in case you need to travel or if you want they sell spoons so you can eat it right there. For the younger kids the have a coloring station to decorate your cup with stickers and markers. This was a really fun and reasonably priced experience and you get your own peanut butter mixture...
Read moreEdited: This review has been changed by me, the contributor. I was contacted by cofounder of Nerdy Nuts because he wanted clarification. While visiting with him it was apparent that customer service is extremely important to them and he listened to my suggestion, took steps to get me to be his customer. Great job being a proactive business person. Thank you so much for listening and getting me the product. I must say, all of the creativity has got my attention and I wanted so badly to be your customer. It is quite apparent that this is not for locals. You can stop by and make some peanut butter invention but if you want a specific mix, you have to order it online and pay shipping. Why would I want to pay shipping for a product that is the town I live in? Interesting you want me to pay $13 for the jar of peanut butter but then you want me to pay another $6 for at total of $19 No option to purchase online and pickup in the store or have a recipe for the mix you are after and then build your own in store? I have stopped by twice and once they were closed during advertised hours and the second time I got an education on how I need to order it online. ...
Read moreHad to give a 3 star review due to accessibility. Peanut butter is pretty good and wide arrangement of flavors. Everytime my wife and I have wanted to stop in for the experience, your store front has been closed. Definitely frustrated with it being a local store and having to order for our peanut butter to be shipped to us without any option for pickup. Even more frustrating that once we place our order, it estimates 10 days for arrival and we see that it first stops at the RC, SD distribution center to only be sent to other states (minimum 2 stops in other states in the orders we have placed) for it just to return to us in Rapid City. I understand manpower and the want for lower overhead costs of not opening during a season just to have payroll expenses for slower months. But if youre going to be posting lives from the store for flavor releases, maybe offer a limited window for the locals to pickup rather than have to wait an absurd amount of time for a shipment from a...
