I popped in, needing to replace my tattered copy of Gabriel Garcia Marquez,'s 'Love in the Time of Cholera,' believing any bookstore worth a dime would carry it. I soon discovered that not only did they not stock Mr. Marquez, but precious few other "Mr.'s" at all. Male authors in general seem sparsely chosen for their inventory.

I always describe my first impression as feeling as if I was suddenly in a movie set. The setting is so beautiful and filled with as many beautiful objects as there are books.
