Selection is a syllabus out of a gender studies and woke political indoctrination factory while lacking affinity for even the most obvious of modern classics, including Pulitzer and Nobel winners.

I popped in, needing to replace my tattered copy of Gabriel Garcia Marquez,'s 'Love in the Time of Cholera,' believing any bookstore worth a dime would carry it. I soon discovered that not only did they not stock Mr. Marquez, but precious few other "Mr.'s" at all. Male authors in general seem sparsely chosen for their inventory.

I understand that a business becomes a personal extension of self concept and values clarification, but these people are lunatics. Unless you're wanting a book on white shame or misandry, I'd shop...

When we first moved to RC almost 5 yrs ago one of the first things I looked for was a good bookstore. Having wandered into Mitzi's was such a wonderful surprise. I always describe my first impression as feeling as if I was suddenly in a movie set. The setting is so beautiful and filled with as many beautiful objects as there are books. There truly is something for everyone! I especially think of Mitzi's when I need a special gift. The staff is very knowledgeable about their books and can answer any questions. Nice place, and beautiful inside. Two levels with a large children's section down stairs in the back. All things considered more of a book boutique than a classic book store. Thus the prices are higher, the presentation is beautiful and the selection is small.
