I recently visited your establishment and was impressed by the wide selection of merchandise available, particularly the balance between vintage and pre-owned items. The overall shopping experience was positive. I commend you on the well-organized and inviting atmosphere of your store. The quality of the goods was also noteworthy. I would certainly recommend your shop hear in your local area and on your spare time.

Pretty large store with it’s own auction house! The silent auction concept is unique, will be great once you can bid online! Redlands has a lot of history so there are many treasures to be found! This store is large and is worth a visit!

These thrift stores are ridiculous. The mark up is almost criminal. Went in to Redlands thrift and saw this painting. It was obviously from Ross store and priced at $11.00. But why is Redlands thrift trying to sell it for $14.42!!

Update/ I think they looked my friend up on LinkedIn for liking my review maybe 30mins later. Instead of responding to my comment they tried to find her.

-- They're racist. I used 2 go with my white ex, they instantly racially profiled me when I started going alone. They tell their employees in Spanish to focus on customers who are Black, while also ignoring customers of other races who are stealing under their noses. ( & I watch them steal & say nothing, bcuz if u did ur job without being racist u would catch REAL theives)

I waited outside before the doors opened & on the walkie talkie someone said to watch the "Black one in X color and watch the Black women with white hair." I was the only one wearing that particular color & there was only one other Black woman and she was elderly & had a full head of white hair. (I understand ya'll BTW👍🏾) it was the 1st time they told this employee to watch & follow a domestic abuse survivor with PTSD bcuz of my skin color

Twice they assigned this specific man to watch me watch around the sections & just stare at me. He pretends to do work, like "sorting the records from the 70s", but be real. He isnt sorting anything, he thinks all Black people are thieves and always "trying to catch us in the act". You have zero provocation to stand an "intimidating man" at the entrance so he can stare at me as Im paying. As if I cant pay $4+. The time before I spent $50+. They still followed me and treated me like I stole. And I did not.

The SAME man they make follow around Black customers is the same man who will lie on purpose about what the deal of the day is. I have PERSONALLY asked him about the sale that was running that day because I had been told things were 50% off all day. He told me there was no sale & I would be paying everything full price. I went to the register & everything was half off and I in fact did NOT pay full price that day.

Another day, two white elderly ladies were shopping & asked about the deal on the last day Wednesday of every month, 10 books for $1. That man told them that there was no deal. He told those women to their faces there was no sale & they would pay full price. Im not sure if they did pay full price, but I know I didnt because it was a sale day.

Anytime I go NEAR my purse while in that thrift store, they start YELLING for each other over the walkie talkies & the guy they make watch me runs over because he thinks Im stealing a 10 CENT book. In reality, I wanted to get my PHONE to check my text messages.

When I purchase more than 10 items, they literally have the manager come over to sort my items for me probably to make sure "I didnt steal" anything. When I opened my purse to take my wallet out, the manager caught himself literally looking into my purse as if he thought he'd spot some stuff from his selves in my purse. I gave him a good look, I don't need to steal o hide anything either. When they shouted out for the employee to see if I was stealing, they put 4 different camera angles up of me just standing there with my phon on a big screen. I think putting the surveillance vids of me up there for everyone to see could've been a mistake but I never stole a thing so why even hyperfixate on me ? Why broadcast me to the entire store ? Why assign a specific employee to watch ME everywhere I go and my bill was literally $4+ AND I PAID IT.

Ive never been stereotyped & treated so disgustingly and without care at an actual upscale store. Or even a real store, like the grocery store. Its insane to be treated like this on a day where I bought 30+ items and paid $4 because that was the specific sale that day.

No matter how hard you pray and beg the universe & no matter how long your star employee follows me around, you won't catch me stealing there bcuz I dont steal. Just like you have vids of your employee following me & u can clearly see on each vid nothing was stolen, by me. Like I said, I see people stealing there all the time. Racism is an exspensive...

Update: it took someone 4 months to respond to my review, stating they would have loved the chance to fix the situation. Well, you did have a chance that day. The manager/whatever she is was standing right there listening to and witnessing the whole event in real time. To me, that's the perfect time to teach your employees. But no. She stood there and nodded her head when the employee looked at her. So no, I don't think anything would have been done differently. Only now are you responding to people who are leaving negative but truthful reviews. Maybe this is your chance to make those changes. We will still never step foot in your store again. I refuse to be basically blamed for not bringing it to someone's attention that day because I shouldn't have to, the manager was RIGHT THERE. And I refuse to be treated like I am a potential criminal by actual criminals. Thanks. But no thanks.

Original review: We used to love coming here—even braving the summer heat—just to hunt for hidden gems. But over time, we noticed the quality of items declining while prices kept rising. Why pay thrift prices for a skein of yarn when I can get a brand-new one at Joann for the same price?

Today was the last straw. Today was their 50% off sale (some exclusions), so my husband and I stopped by. He found a few things, including two small tools marked "99" Given our past visits, we assumed they were 99¢. At checkout, we were told they were $9.99, the flannel was $20, and the long sleeve was $10. Excuse me? The tools are $6.99 new at Walmart, and the flannel might have been $20-$30 if it were brand new.

We pointed out the tool pricing issue, only to be told the missing "9" was implied—how silly of us! As for the clothing, we confirmed the final prices and asked if the discount had been applied. The cashier flatly stated, “That’s the price.” When I questioned if the flannel’s original price was $40 (which would be absurd), I was met with a blank stare.

At that point, we left empty-handed and won’t be back. Whether the discount applied or not is irrelevant—the problem is the outrageous pricing of donated, visibly used items. And for what? The store isn’t particularly well-kept, and the staff, often court-appointed, are more focused on following customers around than assisting them.

We don’t mind paying fair prices for secondhand goods, but we know when we’re...

Two situations happened this day 🙄 The "new" store manager, is a joke. She is so rude. Sonia asked me to hang the hangers on the rack, so I did. Rushed while doing it, I had a line, and I was up to pay. As I'm about to pay, when the "store manager" shouts to Sonia " Sonia, can you tell the lady that was hanging the hangers to hang them right, they're all facing different ways, it's a mess" I stopped in my tracks and responded, "I am still here, I was rushing because I was due to pay" Sonia looked at me and padded my hand, like saying sorry and to basically ignore her. I brought the hangers with me, to not give them double work. But guess what, next time, I am leaving them on the rack. It's not my job to be hanging them. I come here a lot, and even the customers are rude. I went on the new president's inauguration, there was another person outside, apparently entitled to cutting in line. I know they open at 10:30. So I parked, people standing outside their car, or in their car. I park, grab a cart and stand in "line" there's no line, everyone is cold and waiting in their car. Or outside. He, said something, grabbed a cart and stood right in front of me. Mind you, I was the first one in line. Not once did he turn around to say anything. I kept quiet, I was highly bothered. But kept to myself. He looked arrogant and rude, like sense of of entitlement. It got close to opening time, and a worker passed by with the, dumbest hat, the new president walks around with, and says hi, to the man that cut in front of me, like he knew him for years. The worker walked in the store and he was back to silence. As we walk in the store, he looked back, and I just stared at him as well, he said nothing. As I assumed. They're all so ballsy, but then realize they are not as ballsy as they think.

Best believe next time I go, and I will keep going back because I love this store. I will put my foot down, if someone cuts in line or if the store manager gets snarky again. I know we are all shopping for different things. But It's not right.

Note to self, leave the hangers...
