My daughter has several chronic health issues, two of which are actually categorized as rare diseases. The bulk of her medical team is out of state because specialists for her issues are not in-state, but her out of state teams have no problem coordinating/communicating with any in-state emergency teams. We have been to Swedish twice before for issues with her feeding tube, and we have felt absolutely heard, cared for and respected both times. We have been through every ER in this state, so Swedish's treatment has been a welcome relief and much appreciated. However, this last weekend, we encountered an ER doctor who admitted that he was out of his depth where her health issues were concerned, but that didn't stop him from consistently trying to explain to us what she needed and what could or could not be a possibility. We KNEW the issue: her feeding tube fractured. It had happened twice before (they do that with her conditions). She needed an order to get a replacement ASAP at Swedish Issaquah. The ER dr kept telling us we should have gone to Issaquah if that's what we wanted; if we had known he was going to be a jerk, we would have, but we hadn't needed to the last two times: previous ER drs respected we knew what was going on and why. This dr even used the knowledge of her own medical trauma due to years of gaslighting against her. At that point, she AMA'ed and we sought out other help. Sadly, we will not be returning to Swedish ER in Redmond because we won't risk getting this dr again. You don't get to admit you are a fish out of water and then still insist you know what you're doing. Not to someone who has been dealing with this for most of her life. The nurses, as always, were amazing. They are the ones who...
Read moreAvoid this place at your best!!! My son broke his elbow and we took it here as it is the closest. This was the worst decision I've ever made.
We had a long wait in the emergency room before the doctor came to check my son's broken elbow. The emergency room doesn't seems have more patient at all. Either they don't have enough doctor, or they just don't care about the patient.
The most important: they didn't made the right recommendation for our case. After diagnostics the doctor say my son doesn't need surgery, which turned to be wrong. The self healing of my son's elbow didn't get it back to its original location (obvious hyperextension), which is super risky to fix now (need to broke the elbow and re-do the surgery to correct its location). The only hope we have now is the elbow will grow to a better location when my son grows up.
The bill is super expensive and get messed up. I don't understand why an elbow sleeve caused $1200+. Also, they charged similar but not the same items differently. Some went through my insurance while others directly went to me. I had to made multi calls with billing of different providers to get them fix it.
Overall, everything...

Beware of this place and their contracted doctors from “Eastside Emergency Physicians.” We were sent here by Swedish urgent care staff in the same building after being told it would be cheaper for uninsured patients, which turned out to be completely false.
The ER treated a very basic cut with 5 stitches and at a date later removed them at a 5 minute follow up. That care ended up costing almost $1,500 from Swedish AND an additional $1,300 from “Eastside Emergency Physicians” that we were never informed or warned about ahead of time. You will get billed TWICE for services provided here, and you’re lucky if you even discover that before being sent to collections.
For such a basic case, the charges were excessive and the lack of disclosure about additional billing is unacceptable. The Eastside Emergency Physicians sent our account to collections when we weren’t even aware of owing them anything in the first place and it’s since been a nightmare to deal with.
Check out Eastside Emergency Physicians, they have 70 1-star reviews on Google left by numerous other people all having...
