Hi Nail & Eyelash — Local services in Redwood City

I actually love the nail techs in both salons (Sunnyvale and RWC) but my last experience here removing gel nails was not great. I got them done in the Sunnyvale location and went to RWC to get them removed ($30) and the technician filed my natural nails so thin that 3 of my nails completely cracked/split the next day. The nail shapes were a bit wonky and she didn’t oil my cuticles or anything either. Pretty disappointed in the overall quality of care but I tipped $5 anyways. Regretting that decision as I’ve just clipped all my nails down completely in an effort to preserve them from further damage…not the usual quality I’m used to from this salon. At other salons, if you get your nails done there they usually will do free or discounted gel removal. Their nail art is still great but the aftercare/removal process leaves a lot to be desired. I advise getting your nails done here and getting them removed somewhere else that will care for your natural nails a bit...

I’ve been to this salon three times now, twice for a gel manicure and once to get gel removed. I love the quality of the gel they use, and their technicians are wonderful at nail art (first time I got an ombré, second time I got cat eye with a friend). Unfortunately, both times I’ve had a manicure here, they cut my cuticles so much that they bled. The first time it happened it was on one finger and I thought it might be the technician, so I booked with a different person the second time. The second time, even with a different person, two of my fingers bled. This has never happened to me with getting a manicure before so even though I love their designs I don’t think...

I absolutely LOVE this nail shop!! I’ve been to their Sunnyvale location and just recently stopped by this new Redwood City location. Both places are very similar and the studio is super nice, clean, aesthetic, and the nail technicians are very skilled. In the past, all the salons I’ve been to have been quite rough and injured my nails, but this place is the only one that takes their time and is very careful. They actually cater to your nail type....
