I had a 2005 Honda Foreman which I bought new, had a transmission problem. It was skipping in first gear. I called my local Honda shop and they told me that 1st gear was out of it and it would cost as much as the machine is worth to fix it. Disappointed to hear that I spent a few weeks on and off researching the issue and the complexity of the repair. It is intensive! My neighbor who is a power sports fan asked If I called Jays in Reedsburg. I said no but I saw their new store. He said "call them I have heard good things about them". So I thought what do I have to loose? I called up there and got Jay the owner on the phone. Told him my problem and he said he knew what was wrong but he was not the correct person to talk to. He turned me over to Matt who said "oh sure I know what happened and I know how to fix it as I have done a bunch of those" The weight was lifted off my shoulders. Someone that seemed interested in helping me with a machine I have rather than an agenda to sell me a new machine. I spoke with Matt thoroughly about my problems and concerns. He agreed and understood everything I had asked about. He quoted me a price to do the work I was happy with. But let me tell you, the last shop said they have done one (1) of these before. Matt said he has done many. That was a big relief for me. So I agreed to bring it to him. About a week later I get a call asking if I could stop by so they could show me what they found. I was unable to get there so they e-mailed me pictures with explanations of their findings. Then then suggested not only was 1st gear gone but 2nd thru 5th had enough wear they were concerned about using them. I agreed to have them replace all the gears as well as the piston since they had to pull the jug to do the work. About 10 days later I get a call from Matt saying that the machine was back together and running like a top. But he had another concern.... While it was there I asked for two new front tires. When Matt was taking the old wheels off he noticed excessive play. Both front wheel bearings were shot. He said let me save you a trip and lets get them replaced while it here. I agreed. I picked it up a week later and Let me tell you if you are not already sold by their attention to detail and the customers best interest, when I picked up my machine you would have never known it was apart. It looked like it did when I dropped it off. Then I drove it! Wow this 10 year old beast of mine runs and drives better than it did new. It shifts better than it ever has and is quiet! The shifting is quiet and like butter. The engine purrs like a kitten and all the little extras he did like clean my carb and such while it was there were over and beyond what I had expected but was much appreciated. I know this is a 10 year old machine but I'm confident it will go another 10 or 15 years now at a fraction of the cost of a new machine.
Thank You Jays's team for the detailed work and communication. I will be coming back to you for sure. Should I need any further service work or a new skidoo you will be my first...

Read moreFound an ad on Marketplace for a 2022 Bad Boy Magnum with 150 hrs for sale at Jays Ag and Turf. I contacted Josh Hondel and he told me he just received the unit in on a trade and it's so amazing that he almost took it home himself. Everything sounded great. The unit looked good in the 1 picture posted so I gave him a down-payment over the phone and the following day took the 2.5 hour drive out to pick up my mower. When I got there Josh disappeared and had me deal with another guy. The mower was in the back and not available to see immediately because according to Josh, it just received a full service. So as they were bringing it around I paid my balance at the front counter. It was below zero that day so I basically loaded the unit onto my trailer and didn't spend much time looking over the unit in the bitter cold. My mistake. Once I got home I noticed the hour meter didn't read 150 hrs. It read .4 The meter had been replaced with a new one. I contacted Josh and all he has done since is continue to lie to me. "Oh it isnt reading right because of the cold", then it was "that's the service time, the meter should be able to switch back to run time", I'll get back you you.... lie after lie. Anyways I'll make the 5 hour round trip again to return this tampered mower. Can't trust anyone these days, not even a...
