Tl;dr - the boxed taffy was clearly old or not properly stored.

The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. Prices are unreasonably high, but you go in expecting that at the beach. What I did not expect is that the boxed taffy we bought and didn't try until we got home is AWFUL. It's too hard to chew, tastes like chemicals, and is an uninviting assortment of mostly chocolate and random white taffies. Also, several taffies were wrapped improperly and looked like they had melted. Obviously, now that I am 200 miles away, there is no way for me to return this or be reimbursed, and Candy Kitchen knows this; I can see how they would have little concern for...

Have had the pleasure of visiting & shopping here numerous times over many years. Pleasant staff, a variety of sweet treats from Salt water taffy to chocolate truffles. Our fam looks forward to stopping in here every time we are walking the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. Absolutely love this Candy kitchen & have nothing but good things to say about it. If you cant get good help just shut it down...Just paid $12.00 for candy that was far under the weight when I got it home and weighed it. I selected fudge and taffy...Not that I needed more calories, but what a joke at the 10 pieces of taffy and golf ball size piece of fudge. Way over priced or staff is not doing job correctly...I know its impossible to find any help since the GOV shut down businesses but truly its better to not be open then to have slugs running...
