Parking was easy for us today, they have a small lot beside the restaurant. I'm sure during the season it's a bit rough like everywhere else around there. This is a large restaurant down by the boardwalk, with multi levels, and outdoor seating. I'm sure this is a great place to come and enjoy the views in the Summer. The place is clean with nice white table cloths on each table. Had a fancy vibe going on in there. The service was outstanding, and I can't say how much we felt like we were treated like family. My sister had plenty of questions, and the owner had plenty of answers for all of them. We were the first customers of 2020, and this will not be my last trip there this year.
The house marg was fresh, not tart at all...outstanding!!!
Chips & Salsa!!!! Chips were house made, warm, crispy, and delicious. Salsa was as good as it gets, fresh ingredients, and the cilantro stood out. You know I love me some cilantro.
I ordered TAMALES DE POLLO: Two tamales stuffed with chicken. My oh my were these some of the best tamales known to man. These will be the standard to which I judge tamales from here on out. Moist delicious chicken with a spicy kick to it. The masa was savory, warm, and melted in my mouth. My sister doesn't like tamales, and she was sold on these puppies.
I ordered PUPUSAS: Two homemade gorditas stuffed with pork and cheese and served with curtido. This was my first experience with this Salvadorian dish and it was amazing. The gorditas came out hot and rich in flavor. The pork was cooked perfect with that melted cheese throughout each bite. The curtido was fresh, and added some crunch to the mix. I'm a fan.
I ordered ENCHILADAS: Fresh corn tortillas wrapped around your choice of filling; chicken, beef or cheese, and baked with our green tomatillo and red chili sauce. I chose chicken and cheese. Chicken just like the tamales, moist, and delicious. The green was on point with little to no tangy in that mix. The red was as good as any. Excellent with the pico and sour cream. Beans were tasty whole beans. Rice was yellow, warm, soft, and fluffy. Perfect when mixed with the beans.
I tried the beef taco. It was pulled, not ground, and tasted like a savory pot roast. A nice take on a hard...

The Mariachi restaurant is amazing, and our new go-to spot. Our group of ten individuals sampled the entire menu - tamales, ceviche, platanos, queso, lomo saltado, pescado acapulco, fajitas nortena al carbon, spanish parillada (grilled chicken, steak, pork chop, and Spanish chorizo), margaritas, mojitos, tres leches, sopapillas, flan, fried ice cream, chocolate mousse - we loved every single thing that we ate, and shared everything that we loved.
The customary pre-dinner tortilla chips were hot and fresh; however, while the salsa was very flavorful, it was a little too watery for my taste - make sure you have a napkin.
The owners and the staff are very courteous and on-top of things. They were very professional in handling our group. Brunch is 11am to 3:30pm, as is Lunch. The dinner menu is available until 10pm Sunday through Thursday, and available until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They won't do separate checks (at least for large parties, as far as I know), but they will split the checks however you like - to avoid public awkwardness, I recommend either everyone having cash or using venmo/cash app/etc to pay whoever picked up the check.
My only regret? Having to wait until tomorrow to eat Mariachi's...

Since my wife and I moved to Lewes four years ago, we have have dined in about 80 restaurants in Milford, Milton, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey, Ocean View, Bethany, Fenwick Island, and Ocean City. We love food!
I have dined at Mariachi Restaurant several times. The food and service have always been excellent. This restaurant also has the added value of providing a much needed contribution to the availability of ethnic cuisine in Sussex County with delicious dishes from Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and Spain⦠and a friendly atmosphere.
Last night, I hosted a dinner meeting at Mariachi for twenty people. The manager, Yolanda, was incredibly helpful. Despite the fact that April is already the busy tourist season in Rehoboth Beach, she reserved the second floor dining room for us, assigned an excellent server to our group, and, because we agreed to pay in cash, she allowed us to get individual checks for all the couples at the party.
I can't say it enough - the service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Yolanda and her team understand the value of hospitality. They consistently make dining out a pleasure.
Thank you, Yolanda and Jaime! Weāll be back!
