I ate here twice in the span of 12 hours. First around 10PM and I scored the last cheeseburger of the day. It was perfectly greasy and delicious, with exactly the toppings I asked for, nice and fresh. I happily strolled the boardwalk with my paper-wrapped treasure. The next day I waited in line at peak lunch hour and made some new friends in the 30 minutes or so it took to get to the window. Cheesesteak and hotdog were right on point for the kids. For me I got a crabcake sandwich and wish I didn't. It was bland and boring, and it lacked the tartar sauce I ordered so I had to go back to get that. It did not help much. I think at times the line of communication between the order taker, the griller and the rest of the staff gets a little strained so keep your order simple. Stick with the basics: burgers, steaks, dogs and fries and you will be fine.

Waitress was kind and attentive, but we stopped for the advertised best fried chicken, and apparently, it's not in season? Restaurant needed a bit of rehad inside and seating was tight...although there were many issues, the steak sandwich was one of a kind, delicious and the grilled vheese was tasty. Came back a year later n finally got the fried chicken, it was ok, not dry but not moist, seasoning was good. But the cheesesteak sandwich is where its as.

Great food for the beach. It's simple and it's light, so you'll have no problem walking across the boardwalk after eating. The fries are freshly cut and cooked so they're delicious. Currently it's CASH ONLY but I didn't see that on their website. I'd go again if I didn't want a heavy meal.

I loved coming here when I was younger. I also really enjoy the atmosphere, but I have to admit my last visit here left me disappointed. My hubby and I always come here for the fries so we waited online for about 22 minutes. While waiting we saw saw about 3 couples who were ahead of us, leave the line.

I assumed people were leaving the line prematurely due to the long wait but as I got closer I found my self leaving in search of somewhere else to eat. I watched the gentleman making the food openly touch raw meat and place it on the grill then grab onion from the prep table and garnish someone else's burger without changing gloves in between. Cross contamination is dangerous and I was then shocked to watch another gentleman place raw/frozen burger patties on the prep table on top of the lettuce and tomato containers. In addition, for some reason, they were taking 1-2 orders at a time and preparing them which tooked 5-7 minutes per order before taking any additional orders which is also why we stood in line for so long just to end up leaving empty handed. I'm truly saddened at the whole thing.. I really use to enjoy...

First of all this place needs a good thorough health inspection. Today I went in there to get some fried chicken to go, the chicken breast I had ordered was severely undercooked. I believe in constructive criticism and I thought I should call them to let them know that they're serving raw chicken to their customers. When I had called the man was very rude, he said that stuff happens and if he were to cook it longer everyone would've had to wait longer to recive they're order. But the thing is no one was waiting around and he grabbed it from the hot box so that was just B S and I'm certainly sure people should get what they're paying for and this means a properly cooked meal. I asked him if he cares about the quality of his establishment and he sort of said yes but in a very strange way. I guess he thought I was after a free peice of chicken so he offered it to me and I declined, just wanted to make sure people arnt walking out of there with salmonella. Yikes! Now thinking of that place and how they handle there food makes me wanna puke, it was...

I saw someone else say this but I agree, Gus’ is Rehoboth. It is one of my top two favorite restaurants ever.

Perfect beach restaurant known for its walk-up counter. It’s a vintage breakfast/lunch diner that is renowned for its hamburgers, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and sausage sandwiches. The burgers in particular are probably the best in the state, and maybe anywhere. They also have great boardwalk fries. The fried chicken there may be good but don’t let the signs fool you into thinking that’s what they’re known for.

It is mainly for walk ups but if you go inside you’ll see the original 1956 interior. Some may say it looks like it needs some cleaning but they do keep it clean, it is that the place has been serving beach goers and subject to the beach weather for 60+ years which has worn down the interior quicker than other old school places. It will likely look like that until they do a renovation, which I hope never happens if it means getting rid of the historic interior. It’s a shame it only has 4.0...
