Firstly, the staff is amazing. They have to deal with a ton of people and it can get really hectic and stressful but I have never had any issues and they're always really nice and friendly. The ice cream is amazing. There's a billion flavors, and it can be overwhelming to choose something. The fruit smoothies are really tasty and refreshing. Their milkshakes are some of the best I have ever had. They're thick and delicious, and you can choose your flavor. My favorite to get as a milkshake is coffee. This is the best place to try flavors that you wouldn't ordinarily get. Delaware peach, African fig, better than sex, and sweet corn are among my favorites. It's a good time to just look over all the flavors. Kids will love this place because of all the options but also the store has stuff like "play doh" and "frozen". I got the Nutella and banana flavors in a waffle cone and they were amazing. The store has two gimmicky flavors, ghost pepper and Carolina reaper. The ghost pepper flavor has been floating around the interweb for a little while now, most recently bring reposted on atlas obscure. You have to sign a waiver and be 18+. I've tried it. The ice cream is actually fairly tasty. I think it's a vanilla, maybe a French vanilla base with chunks of pepper or pepper flakes. Because you have these peppers in dairy (which is the best way to soothe the burn) it actually isn't hot. You have a bite of flavor but that's about it. Even though it isn't super spicy, it does not taste bad by any means. So if you're someone who just enjoys a peppery flavor it's...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE. I was walking on the Rehoboth Boardwalk and decided to get some fudge. I saw a giant sign for Candy Kitchen. I walked up to the woman who was basically standing under the sign and asked if she had cookies and cream fudge. What happened next I couldn't believe. The woman's faced completely changed and she was looking at me like I killed her pet. After staring at me what felt like forever with the most disgusted look she goes "COOKIES AND CREAM FUDGE?!" and then stared again. I couldn't believe her extreme reaction and how extremely loud she was to the point others were staring. I stood back and said Oh I thought this was the fudge place. She's still standing there not saying a word glaring at me and I just walked away out of sheer terror and embarrassment. (It turns out the side she was working on just sold ice cream but you cannot tell that from how the signs are set up). I have never in my life experienced such a hostile and belligerently rude WORKER IN THE HOSPITALITY field. I don' care if your a family-owned company that is a disgrace. Especially considering how dead it was- you would THINK they would be nice to get any customer to purchase from them. AND THE WOMAN was middle-aged- do you not know how to give the most simplest civil customer service by this age? DON'T WORK IN HOSPITALITY IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE DISREPECTFUL TO PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO SUPPORT...
Read moreI encountered one of the most unfriendly and off putting workers ever. She hung around outside taking orders during a very busy Saturday night but only when she felt like it. After being cut several times since there was no rhyme or reason to the line and people just approached the next free server, I finally got her to make eye contact and kind of smiled like okay, can you help? She then proceeded to act like I was bothering her and moved like she had not a care in the world. Didn’t answer any questions about serving sizes or prices, just pointed to a small old fashion board high on the wall that you can’t see unless you’re right at the counter. When I asked if I could have scoops of different flavors she just said no. No explanations, no letting me know they had flights (which I found out later on they do have) just no. All while looking everywhere but at me, and leaning against the wall. I finally just picked something random and she stood there for a second, then turned around with no acknowledgement. She finally came back with the tiniest scoop every and charged me almost 7$. And it tasted like just regular cookies and cream. I ordered the what the fork one. No pretzels or mini chips. Nothing special.
Seriously, I should have gone to Kohrs across the street. At least they’re nice kids and you get your...
