One of the most amazing experiences one can have at a homestyle diner. When I say everything was ON POINT I mean it! From the incredible food to the remarkable customer service. It was my father in laws birthday and this place was recommended. His mom passed away and ironically our waitress had the same name as her, Alicia. It was a sweet reminder of her presence on his special day. Our waitress Alicia was one of the best waitresses all of us have ever had. She was animated, friendly, & polite, with amazing customer service skills and great confidence. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our orders were correct and she checked on us frequently. If I could have tipped her $10,000 I would have! And that's a minimum compared to how amazing she was. & the food. Oh my goodness the food was delicioussssss. Everyone ordered breakfast and I ordered and turkey burger with bacon cheddar potato soup. The bacon ALONE is worth coming back for. Everyone's food was on point.
This was my partners commentary "The breakfast was really good. We had the PD breakfast which was large enough to split for two people. It had the best bacon that I've ever had in my life. It was the perfect thickness, had a good amount of fat but also good amount of meat to it. The eggs I got scrambled with cheese were really light and fluffy. The potatoes were a little on the dry side but paired with the other food it was really good. The pancake was huge and fluffy. The restaurant was willing to accommodate us and split the large breakfast between two people which was really nice. We also both got mimosas which only cost five dollars. They were little cups which were super adorable and it was also super affordable. The hot chocolate they serve at this place is probably the best I've ever made including the ones that I make at home. Personally it was a good thickness and richness without being overly sweet and it was served with whip cream cream. They also accommodated us by making a high chair for our 5 month old & surprised my father with a cupcake and a song."
Needless to say we'll...
Read moreI usually eat breakfast at this restaurant they have a good menu as well as surroundings. Everything was good until one day my boyfriend and I were about to finish eating and I felt that the waiters work hard to serve their customers so figured I'd leave a tip just because they are really friendly but when the waiter came I asked for an extra napkin and she said yes she'll be back and refilled my coffee without me wanting a refill, she never came back then another waiter came up she tall with brownish blood hair with an accent and I asked her for a napkin and she said yes just a second asked if I wanted a refill on coffee and I said no I would like a napkin she said ok. The same tall waiter with brownish blond hair came up and gave us our tab and had the nerve to say to me....can I say something? It's tough times right now and we would really appreciate it if you left a tip please thank you. That honestly made me mad because I asked for a napkin twice to wipe my hands and never got it, then she had the nerve to ask me for a tip???? I've never been to a restaurant where the workers ask me for a tip, that is something a customer should decide if you the waiter deserve it. No offense but it's not like I'm eating at the restaurant for free and for a waiter who couldn't bring me a napkin asked me for a tip really made me think twice about eating there. Ever since then my boyfriend and I eat at other restaurants because she made us feel very...
Read moreTired of places like Denny's and Shari's where the prices are high and they are trying to flip the tables to get you out of there? Plum Delicious has the same kind of food and the prices are a little bit less. But if you want that good old fashion food, this is where you want to go. The wait staff have been there forever and they are always happy. The food is not frozen and just thrown on the grill. Things are made fresh daily.
Some may be turned off by the somewhat antiquated furnishing but in reality it's like walking into your Mom's kitchen. Some of the Seahawks players like to come in here, regularly. Their portions are big enough to satisfy those big athletic bodies. By the way, they use to have a really old television set that was not very good. Richard Sherman helped the owner get the new TV system so it's a great place to sit back and watch the game.
Even though they are on Sunset, even in the late afternoons in the summer, you can sit on the terrace. Because of the way they are situated on the hill below street level the noise level is minimal. The only negative is that they share the parking lot with Goodwill. Sometimes finding parking can be a hassle. But it's worth a couple of laps of the parking lot to get a spot.
Their dessert case will have you drooling before you even get sitted. My husband loves their...
