I visited this store a few months ago and upgraded my phone, during which insurance was added without my consent. A few weeks later, I came back to open a new line and was looking for a more affordable phone. I was recommended a Samsung for $2.99, and once again, insurance was added without my request.
This past Saturday, 06/14, I went to the store around 7:20 AM and was assisted by a representative named Walter. I questioned the addition of insurance to my lines without my consent, and he told me that it is a rule for all devices: insurance is mandatory with every sale. I once again pointed out that I was not informed of this policy during either purchase. He then rudely stated that he always makes customers aware of the mandatory insurance. He also told me for any questions call 611… I would like to understand: are customers required to pay for insurance when purchasing a new device? And if so, shouldn’t they be clearly informed at the time...

Not only was she constantly helpful for OVER 3 hours of her time, she never portrayed any sign on frustration and always stayed professional. She helped me figure out a problem that I had with AT&T cellular service for a month now. We were stumped at first trying to figure out what was wrong, but she made sure that I didn’t leave the store without my problem solved. While helping me out she multitasked with other customers and still had excellent customer service with each and every one of them. Read moreI got a phone with an AT&T plan. During the purchase, I was pushed to take the Insurance plan for the phone. I clearly stated that I don’t need one and I don’t want it. A couple of months later, I noticed that for the past couple of months I’ve been billed for the insurance that I did not sign up for! I was also signed up for a different service that I did not even know I was signing up for.
The agreed upon total was $57 and I was being charged $81 every month. Please pay attention to your bills and closely check what you are being billed for! Ideally, avoid this store.
