My partner came home with a great shirt that I was surprised it came from Dillard's. I decided to shop online and bought clothes from Dillards.com. Some were perfect, others were not; wrong size or fit. Yesterday I went to the St. Louis Galleria Dillard's and was lucky enough to be helped by an attentive and knowledgeable young man (I wish I had gotten his name - he deserves recognition). In addition to the returns, I told him what I was looking for (slim-fit shirts, mostly, if not all, cotton, in jewel tones). He took me directly to the Murano section, and I was able to find items I wanted. Ultimately, making a purchase Not only was I impressed with him, but also the number of customers in the store, as well as the number of informed/trained sales associates. This experience was in stark contrast to the other dept. stores in that mall, and every other mall I've been to recently. Dillard's is doing it right - I was pleasantly surprised as I hadn't shopped at Dillard's for many, many years.
NOTE: Especially with the blue solid color shirt, the photos don't do the vibrancy (and jewel tone) justice - really...
Read moreOn yesterday January 1, 2019, shopped during the New Year's day blow out sale and the process for purchasing shoes was awlful!!! I have no idea who could have thought any of that was a strategic move in any fragment of the imagination. That was total chaos for all involved including the workers. Why would someone think that have a TSA type line for people to snatch shoes up, get in a line, get a number and then go to another line only to be told that they don't have your size, or even that they totally forgot about you and your shoes. The poor workers had to be going crazy!!! That was a mess!!!! No organization whatsoever. At the very least, you should have had someone go and see if the shoes were there, and then, give the customer theirs shoes to go and pay for. Or use the hand held inventory device similiar to your competitor that starts with a M to see if you had the shoes in stock. And it regards to the designer handbags, that was an entire disaster as well, just too much chaos. During 2019, please sit down and see if this entire sale can be re-strategized so that consumers can have a...
Read moreFirst off, let me just state that the last time I stepped foot into a Dilliard's store was over 22yrs ago at Northwest Plaza (gosh I'm showing my age, lol). I went to pick up an online order & the associates on the floor were very helpful & polite when I asked where custmer service was located & the lady in customer service was too herself helpful, polite, fast because I was in & out & that's the type of cs I like! Pleasurable experience & not to mention I extraly enjoyed riding the escalators to each floor! May sound crazy or even weird, but it brought back memories when I would be out shopping with my dad when I was little because we would ride them floor to floor in different dept stores & malls just looking around & the face he would make & the complaining he'll do about how much money he spent. & how I needed to realize that money doesn't grow on trees..ya know typical parent stuff that I paid absolutely no...
