I was really looking forward to this ghost tour, as I try to do one in every US city I visit. Unfortunately, this was a huge let down. We did not actually go to any haunted locations, the tour guide just told us about locations far away from various street corners. And almost every "ghost story" was just some minor paranormal activity that happened to "Beth" - an employee of the tour company, I think? The one time we were pointed to a blood stain it was inside a building that was shut down and we could only peer through a window to try to get a glimpse. Noone could see it and the tour guide said to just look it up on their Facebook. Honestly, this tour was a rip off and I wish I did something else with my 90 minutes. It was lazy and barely informative. Maybe try a...

Haunts of Richmond is the place to go if you like spooky stories and local history! We started the tour at the beautiful Poe Museum where Marcia set the mood with some awesome history about how Shockoe Bottom has changed over the centuries. It was a lovely evening and the streets of Richmond were busy (as always) but the many motorcycles and radios and pedestrians were no match for a seasoned guide with a microphone :) The stops along the tour route are so well thought out and researched, I had no idea that some of these unassuming buildings have had such a rich (and sometimes sordid) past. If you like history and ghosts and enjoy learning more about beautiful RVA, book a tour! So many thanks to Marcia, Beth, Chris, and the...

If you're in to Poe conspiracy theories, ask for Olivia!!! She was a treasure trove of interesting information! My 9yo was so engaged and you should of heard the questions he was asking!!! So deep!! She blew his little mind!! We had perfect weather for it, too, which was the cherry on top! We had dinner just around the corner at the Proper Pie beforehand, which made for a really great family evening!!! Would highly recommend!!! Just FYI, there's no sign at the meet up location. We met them in front of Richbrau Brewery. If you go the the bottom of the hill on 20th St, there's a fenced-in lot for the Holocaust Museum that you can park in!! Hope you see some...

My husband and I were in Richmond for our Anniversary and have always wanted to do a ghost tour. This tour did not disappoint. Our guide was knowledgeable and had the greatest sense of humor. She even was helpful in helping us plan our next day in Richmond so we could avoid traffic due to the marathon. The tour was full of very interesting stops with historical ghost stories ranging from the inception of Richmond to the recent past. The tickets are reasonably priced and we got to take advantage of a BOGO for my husband’s military service. If you decided to go on the tour make sure you tip the guide. It’s not required but ours was so good they definitely deserve it!

Full disclosure: Beth was my teacher in high school, HOWEVER I think this is the best tour in Richmond! This is our second one with haunts, and we did the VCU campus option! Beth and Chris seamlessly transitioned in story telling, and when my 7 year old niece lost interest, Chris stepped in to keep an eye on her so that I could enjoy the rest of the tour undisturbed! It was an extremely hot day today (98°!!) Beth brought us haunts of Richmond FANS! They went above and beyond for us and we are so grateful to have this experience with them! Can’t wait to do it again in the fall! 5 stars all the way! I can’t recommend them enough!!
