I try to support US—always! But WE always seem to disappoint in some, way, shape or form. Wait…wait…let’s not start with the negatives…let’s start with, my friend and I arrived to our reservation and were greeted upon arrival. After that…it went downhill. Explained to the employee that I BOUGHT (Keep that in mind) 3 tickets—however, only me and another friend were able to make it. My 8 month PREGNANT friend could not because of obvious reasons. The employee proceeds to tell me, she can’t do a refund (later found out that she somehow assumed I was using FREE tickets—baby I paid for these tickets/reservation)…I then say, “can you just make the ice cream for the ticket, “she says, yes.” I tell her the base flavor (chocolate)I would like and then ended up changing my mind (I told her to hold on…don’t make it—let me ask my husband what flavor he would like—she clearly wasn’t listening because she makes it anyway). As we were making our ice cream, I ask her, “are you making that ice cream for me?” She says, “yes” and proceeds to say—your husband won’t know the difference from white chocolate (which is what my husband wanted) and (chocolate)—ummmmm ma’am WHATTTTTT!!! So she she makes the ice cream—the churners are full! Why would you not start over with what I asked for. The employees made sure to tell me that they closed at 7 and they wouldn’t have time. So I asked if I could either have a refund or a credit—the employee tells me to send an email. Cool—not a problem. I send the email and to my surprise—NOT REALLY…because black owned businesses always have a pitiful excuse. The owner—sends me a message that says she can’t refund my ticket OR give me a credit. So you’re just going to take my money and your employee is just going to take the ice cream home that I paid for—you gotta be kidding me!!!! Yeah 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND…if I could give 0 stars I would! I hate to do US like this…but when will we learn to not walk over people?

I must add that there was one employee there that gave ALL the details—wish I grabbed her name…the only reason I knew about “blast chilling” my ice cream was because I OVERHEARD her. Also…they never gave us pint cups to decorate or anything so we left with plain Jane cups with a sticker!

I’ll never buy $35 ice cream again!!! EVER!!! RICHMOND CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS BECAUSE YA’ll DON’T KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE!

Oh, yea…and then charged me for EXTRA toppings when you literally STOLE my $35 ice cream!...

The overall experience left much to be desired. The placement of the work stations is quite odd, as they are directly in the middle of the registration desk and the sink where people washed their hands. This led to everyone breathing and walking past the uncovered ingredients on the table. The instructor spoke in a low and fast manner, leaving the entire class confused. It would have been helpful to have recipe cards as a guide.3 burners wouldn’t work at the same time, so some groups had to alternate cooking their ice cream. Although there were three staff members present, only one tended to the needs of the guests. It took over 45 minutes for the entire class to receive their ice cream flights, which are no more than a spoonful each. They ran out of some flavors, so some people ended up receiving the same flavors they had already tried during the ice cream history portion of the class. There was a lack of updates or guidance regarding the freezing process of the ice cream, leading everyone to become antsy. Most of our ice creams were not frozen but after the 3rd hour of an 2 hour class we were all ready to go! So we go our soft ice cream out of the mixer to discover they ran out of several mix-ins. Another disappointment was the fact that we didn't receive the promised recipe cards to take home as promised. Overall, good intentions, the...

We took the ice cream workshop tonight and had a delightful time together. This is the perfect place for a fun date night outing, especially with neighboring food options.

The class was well organized and the team provided great support to the instructor. The instructor was friendly and approachable with a ready supply of ice cream trivia.

The class also featured the opportunity to sample 8 different flavors and styles of ice cream which helped fill the time waiting for our ice cream to churn.

There were several different activities to fill the downtime, including a getting to know you card set, Tic Tac Toe and an intricate coloring card.

The interior was immaculate and hand hygiene was emphasized throughout. Each station had its own set of tools and materials to work with. Custom packaging was provided to bring our pints home safely, including customizable labels.

Overall this was a great experience and we’ll be back in April to try some of their new...
