I wish I could give this office a 5/5 stars ; Doctors, technicians and staff are all overwhelmingly nice & courteous. VCU strives again to squeeze every buck out of the students. I am NOT sure how they can get by with it , but I had to pay over $300 out of my own pockets and my whole family had to struggle for that month. I am on Financial Aid and I couldnāt afford the $300 they demanded from me to cover my tests that they demanded from me. I understand the importance of immunization but when a prestige educational establishment demand from you to pay $300 and you REALLY donāt have it, they should interfere and help. Then I found out that each & every student is charged around $200 per semester for HEALTH CLINIC FEE and on top of it they charge additional fee for everything else. I asked a doctor at the VCU Health clinic why each semester VCU charges $200 per student, her shocking reply:ā I donāt knowā...I was placed in very awkward miserable situation at the VCU clinic when they asked me to pay and I didnāt have the money to pay...I really didnāt have the money. They threatened me easily in front of other students that if I donāt pay THEY WILL PUT A HOLD ON MY ACADEMIC STATUS AT VCU AND THEY WILL PREVENT ME FROM REGISTERING FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER. I am an honor student whoās taking student loans to help bettering my conditions as well as my family . No one at the clinic understood what I meant when I said I donāt have the money. I felt no one cared just like the majority of the VCU Administrative DEPTs ; no one cares. I either come up with the money or I canāt register for classes for the upcoming spring semester!!!! I asked if I can pay later on or make payments, to my shock and disappointment; the doctor and the lady behind the counter laughed... I am not sure WHY!! But I didnāt have the money. My choices were I either give them the money or I have to deprive my family from the monthly essentials. I had no other choice but to give VCU the money and I had to explain to my family what had happened. My family was understanding and supportive and VCU was NOT. THATS NOT FAIR. Thatās NOT FAIR TO EVERY STRUGGLING STUDENT AT EACH AND EVERY UNIVERSITY LIKE VCU. I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS TO VCU PRESIDENT AND ADMINISTRATORS AND I YET TO FIND ANYONE WILLING TO ANSWER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOK so I had an appointment with this place today and it was supposed to be for 3:00 PM mind you they sent me an email with only the name of the doctor the date and the time of my appointment no further information on where itās located where I need to park or anything of that nature. The front desk lady is rude she was automatically rude when she answered the phone when I simply just asked if I even had an appointment since I went to the VCU health center and was confused she said that my appointment was canceled in with the sassy attitude she says āyes you did have an appointment at 3:00 PMā Then I further asked if I could speak with my doctor Karen Kirby and she said that she would call me back after her last appointment for the day I still havenāt received a call and they are about to close in about 20...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have received outstanding psychiatric health services at VCU Student Health. Never in my life have I met a doctor as empathetic or understanding as Dr. Foreman. The check in process is easy after the first visit and I am nearly always seen on time. I once realized the morning of an appointment that I would not be able to make it and I was able to reschedule for the next day with no problems. Because mental health is reliant on so many factors, I was recommended to run some blood tests and see a nutritionist, all which could be done onsite. Working with my doctor, I absolutely feel like I have been given ample resources and direction to continue to care for both my mental and physical health. Visiting VCU Student Health has been a crucial first step to overall wellness and...
