Hose It Car Wash — Local services in Rio Rancho

Ive been using this wash weekly (usually) but at least twice a month for nearly 2 years now. I started when I got my rag top and simply refuse to use automatic washes. So I can only speak on the wash bay experience. Most of the time, I'm able to go and do what I need to without issue. But there have been some very negative experiences too. Just this past weekend, one bay was out of order. One had a line of cars waiting and the other 2 were so filthy, no one wanted to use them. I'm talking an inch or 2 of mud (not exaggerating). And although its not usually this bad, I'd say generally, this car wash is dirty and needs more upkeep. Many times, I've gone and just left because the trash cans are overfilled and garbage is on the ground next to the cans. Mechanical issues too. One of the foam brushes spits and sputters soap for about 10 seconds every minute or so. Like there's air in the system. Been doing that for a long time. Another time, the tip on the wand shot off like a bullet when I went to pre- rinse. SOOOO glad I wasn't aiming it at the car when I pulled the trigger. Another time, the wheel/ engine cleaner had a bad leak above my car and was dripping a lot of that green liquid all over my soft top while I was looking down working on my wheels. I was able to rinse it off quick enough without any stains left behind. I freaked because the sign warns you not to get it on painted surfaces. Generally, this is a decent place but could use more tending and maintenance. When I'm done, the car always looks awesome. Far more positive experiences then negative. May go again tomorrow. I hope this care wash NEVER goes out of business. It is so nice to wash your car with gentle pressure, lots of foamy soap that soaks tough bug stains from the foam brush, and other options. And it’s cheaper! Within the last couple of years they updated the credit card swipe which is sooooo nice. Now you can just relax and clean away and not have to worry about beeping and quarters!! I thoroughly soaked my truck in foam and then rinsed forever and it was only $8.50!!! I’ve tried the Automatic car washes recently opening up in this area—DON’T go to them!! I’ve had a license plate bent in the front, new scratches on the paint, and my antenna broken off… they are TOO ROUGH!!
