Lund's Fly Shop — Local services in River Falls

Always super helpful. I went in this weekend and I think his name was Ron, helped me contextualize my nymph setup for the Kinni. Really appreciated the time he took to talk me through a bunch of basic questions. I do realize these guys aren't paid to teach fly fishing, but he definitely gave best effort answering my questions. I also noticed that someone who works there has epic taste in music, most specifically the #fridayflyshopmusic posts I've seen on Instaface. Husker Du, Violent Femmes, Descendants, Prince, and others. Just missing Dillinger Four and the Mats :) Highly recommend as a casual, cozy, and all-around cool ass store. Excellent selection and expert local advice for when you are hitting the Kinnickinnic or the Rush! The loss of Lund's Hardware in River Falls has been a shock, however, the entire outdoor sports department from Lund's has been saved and is now just down the road at Lund's Fly Shop. They have all the fly fishing gear you could ever want or need, and also carry a lot of hard tackle and hunting gear. I just got into the sport. This has been the best fly shop experience I’ve had so far. The prices are great, better than any of the shops I’ve been to in the TC metro. The staff was genuinely helpful, not trying to upsell me on anything but still offering helpful suggestions. The location in downtown River Falls is beautiful.
