Need to do something about the customer service at this location. I purchased a pair of $60 shoes and unfortunately they didn’t fit my son. My son took the tag off before he tried them on but we made sure to keep the tag. I lost the receipt so I was hoping they could look it up using my credit card like they have in the past or at the very least I was completely fine with store credit. While trying to complete the exchange I was humiliated in front of a good crowd of people waiting in line.. this was back to school season so the store was beyond packed. An older Hispanic woman who was working the register quickly grabbed the shoes, looked at them and said “you didn’t buy these here” and then continued to say there was no “price” on the bottom of the sole, again trying to make it sound like I did not purchase these shoes from Ross.. I then continue to try to show my phone showing my bank app showing the transaction and continually telling her to look it up by my card I used the purchase them (like I’ve done in the past at Ross locations). She continued to say she could not do that & there’s no way of doing it. She offered to give my $22 store credit since I didn’t have a receipt. I then took the shoes and returned to my car & told my wife about the whole number thing and how humiliating it was. My wife grabbed the shoes and found the number (price) on the bottom of the sole. I then returned back to the store and walked up to different younger woman working the cashier and told her the number the other cashier claimed wasn’t there… and the lady that was helping me before stepped in and said there’s no number. The younger girl quickly pointed out and said it’s right there pointing it out to her. The younger cashier proceeded to tell me I was able to exchange them for a pair of shoes for the same price. My son went and found some shoes, and we hopped in line. After finally making our way to the front of the line. The hispanic older lady, calls me over and then I told her I found shoes to swap. She quickly grabbed the shoes and put them under the register telling me this transaction wasn’t going to happen because her manager said not to allow it. So is it her or management at this location? I walked into a different location and it was a smooth transaction, no questions asked. They easily looked up my receipt using my card. Offered me a refund or store credit. Easy as pie. Where did we go wrong here? Is it management or is it this employee? Definitely shouldn’t be treating people...
Read moreCustomer service at the Riverdale Store is 4 stars! The magnet tags I feel are over done, these tags are placed on everything this creates a major issue for the wait time. Every Ross as door detections and security standing by the entrance and exit, there is no reason to tag everything to this extreme! If a store is going to take this high of security levels, I feel they should have 1 cashier and 1 customer support to remove the security tags. Please Ross stores stop creating an issue for the customers who aren't in your store to shop lift. The amount of employees walking around watching every move of your customers, the magnet security tags, the door detection and the huge men you place by each door I think it's safe to say you can relax a little or higher 2 employees at each cashier stand! Also I like the products in this store however the women's cloths are more for teenagers or elderly women, the sizes of cloths are more of Small, Medium or 2Xl it's hard to find LG, or extra LG. The size issue and style for age groups has only been an issue for the last few years. I like everything in this store other then clothing and no sale prices. Ross get with the times pls. This store is the cleanest by far! Employees are nicer then the other local near by...
Read moreI tried to be a good person today, but the staff didn't seem to care. This morning at the checkout line the cashier was too busy talking to her coworkers about coffee than paying attention to what I was purchasing and she ended up putting an item in my bag that I didn't purchase and didn't even want. I didn't realize it was in my bag until evening. I called the store to try and let them know what happened; I was told that I could talk to the manager when I arrived. I drove all the way back to the store hoping that I could confront the manager and explain the situation. All I got was a response on the headset saying 'not very many people would do that'. The manager didn't even try to come and speak with an honest shopper! I believe it was pretty extreme that one of the WORKERS put an item in my bag I didn't want, the security guy was right there, and its apparently no big deal. Management needs to step up and BE the management. The workers need to WORK and FOCUS on what is in front of...
