Came in this afternoon to find a wedding dress, no one greeted me upon entering. It was not busy at all, only one girl was trying on dresses. I started looking around and found something I wanted to try on. I asked a lady working there to try on the dress and she didn’t respond but rolled her eyes and started walking to the dressing room. The dress was a bit snug, when I walked out I let her know and she responded with yes bridal dresses run small in a condescending way. She didn’t offer to get me another size.. nothing. I said I would keep looking around and she then thought it was necessary to say “it would be better if you had someone with you to grab dresses in different different sizes” as if that’s not her job. I clearly came alone and thought that comment was unnecessary. Especially because that’s her job, to offer more options or at least sizes. She then said maybe I should come back when I have someone who can help me with grabbing sizes and different options. I brushed it off and said that I would keep looking around. As soon as I entered the aisle with the wedding dresses that have a plastic cover, she shouts “NO YOU CANT TOUCH THOSE, they are just different sizes of what dresses we have on display” in a rude tone. If that’s the case, then why didn’t she bring me another size in the dress I had just tried on. At that point i didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed so I said I didn’t need help because I was leaving. That was the worst experience I ever had coming into a bridal shop. I ended up going to the other location they have Ontario and they the staff was very helpful, even though it was way more busier. I even asked the staff if I could take a look at the dresses with a plastic covering. She nicely explained that it is the same dresses that they have on display in different sizes but that I was more than welcome to look through them and offered her assistance. The lady who treated me poorly and unprofessional needs to learn a thing or two about customer service. Didn’t catch her name, but she was big back and...
Read moreIm now editing my review as I was really disappointed with the customer service over the phone when my mom first called to order my dress. She spoke with a salesperson at the Magnolia Riverside location on Tuesday at 2:30 PM With Mayra which I’ve seen her name in these reviews quite a bit,and the person was passive-aggressive and unhelpful. When my mom asked about previous discounts, the salesperson had not tried to find out more info or care to assist in finding what kind of discounts there were. I worked retail for 5+ years so I can understand the frustration of customers perhaps bringing up information from previous appointments that I had no involvement in BUT I ask questions and try my best to get them the best deal they can get yet the sales person didn’t make any efforts and rudely brushed her off.
When I called myself, I experienced the same attitude. I had to do my own research on rewards and discount codes, and I ended up finding a better price than what I was initially told—even after the salesperson claimed there were no discounts available.
That being said, my in-store experience with my stylist, Stephanie, was phenomenal! Literally the nicest ! She and so many other stylist really tried their best to help me. She made me feel special and valued during my dress try-on. I said yes to the dress ! And like others I had to get my financials in order to purchase said perfect dress ! So she kindly gave me all the information I needed to return and make that purchase. However, the poor phone service made the purchasing process frustrating and disappointing. It felt like they were too busy to properly assist us or address our concerns. This is such a meaningful purchase, and the way customers are treated leaves a lasting impression on their wedding journey. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism over the phone made me hesitant to buy my dress from them.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures better customer service in the future. Brides deserve to feel excited, not dismissed, during...
Read moreTerrible experience at the Riverside David’s Bridal. I know my review is long, but I would read it if you’re considering coming here. I was professionally measured by Stephanie for a bridesmaid dress and sold a size 0 that didn’t fit anywhere. I was then told I’d need $183 in alterations—nearly the cost of the dress. Reluctantly I paid for it since I need the dress to fit for my friend’s wedding.
Immediately after leaving the store, I called to raise concerns and ask what could be done. When I got the chance to speak to a manager, Lindsey, she blamed my body (“bodies fluctuate”) instead of admitting any issue with sizing. She told me a general manager would follow up, but there is no general manager. Lindsey later called back pretending to be someone else. When I asked for help, she told me under no circumstances would I get a refund—I could either go through with the alterations or not, but my money was gone.
Feeling defeated and under pressure, I agreed to the alterations, not wanting my money to be completely wasted. However, I decided I wanted to go somewhere else after this experience was so upsetting. I asked to cancel the alterations within 15 minutes but was told it was “too late” since alterations already started - which was a lie. I decided to come in that night with my family to see what alterations had been done. The dress still had pins in it, clearly showing nothing had started.
When I calmly asked to see the dress and if anything could be done, another manager, Juana, became defensive and accused my family of being “threatening.” She said she would have worked with me if I had handled it differently—but if something could be done, why wasn’t anything offered when I asked calmly for help multiple times over the phone? My family and I were nothing but calm and respectful.
I was charged for alterations that never happened and treated with total disrespect. Avoid this location...
