The merchandise was good. Retail prices are higher than other merchants. The products I purchased were all priced. The sales associates were polite & attentive. However, the employees did lack proper awareness. The assistant at the counter was not aware of the sale nor which products were being promoted. She looked up the SKU to identify them. In the meantime I located the brand by name and articles to compare. She was having a difficult time locating them so I had to point out the models and their location. I opened an account but despite being approved she requested I pick up the watch the next day. The following day I also saw a ring that caught my eye. The attendant assured me that it was white gold" titanium" and had a total of 1&1/5 tc diamonds. I inquired if the clear chips were diamond and if the dark stones were Sapphire, (as is the usual arrangement.) I was assured all the stone chips were diamond clear and "black diamonds." I purchased and added it to my purchase. I was told with the account I would get and additional 20% off the total purchases made in the first 48 hrs. I had to take the deal. When I received the merchandise & reciept I noticed that the 20% was not deducted. At this point I was informed that the 20% would be reduced at the time I made my initial payment after receiving my statement. This was not disclosed prior to the purchase. I was handed a bag with my merchandise. Once I got home, I noticed that the instructions manual and registration information was not in the Bulova box. This manual along with online registration is normally included in most watches. As far as the ring, sure enough once I put on my bifocals I read that the dark chip stones were indeed white & black Sapphire. 1 1/5 cttw. I became aware that the sales reps. could benefit from better ongoing current info and staff development. Still they tried to to their job. I am not sure if they were unaware or chose to provide limited or erroneous info to obtain a sale. I could not determine that factor. Now I'll wait for my statement to verify if indeed there is an additional 20% discount on the purchases made the first 48 hours on my Macy's account. As stated the merchandise & products are decent. I would otherwise have given a secured ...
Read moreAfter dinner at cheesecake factory at Tyler mall, my wife and I went into neighboring Macy to look for shoes and my wife wanted a new outfit. Plenty of associates at the numerous cosmetic counters offering perfume sampling with big smiles. I am sure you have experienced the same issues but as soon as you pass the cosmetic area there are no help to be found, when you're ready to check out you have to walk the whole parameter of the store to find only one cashier then you have to deal with the line and long wait . I had picked 2 pairs of shoes one of them didn't have a price. I went to a lady that was hanging some garments in the men's department to ask her about it. Instead of assisting me she asked me to go ask the cashier. Two other customers ahead of me, only one cashier After waiting for 15 minutes listening to endless questions to the cashier from the customers ahead of me and no recognition from the cashier like "thank you for your patience, I will be right with you" nothing. My wife who was shopping brought her items to show me. She also couldn't find any help in women department. With us was my 11 years old who was getting restless , we just got frustrated left all of our merchandise next to the cashier and left. They say that Amazon took most retail stores business, that is not true. There are numerous things that you cannot buy on Amazon, so retail giants like Macy's can still get their share if they would provide a little more personal customer service and attention to details in salesmanship. They lost our business after wasting over 45...
Read moreMacy’s has great online deals, I order items at least a couple times per month. I was picking up with an order last Thursday using their curbside pick up, as I do most of the time. I waited almost 30 minutes and no one came out, I called the store and no one answered. I went in the store and there was a long line so I went around and did a bit more shopping while the line shortened. Side note: The lady at check out in the women’s section was lovely, made sure I was getting all the discounts possible. Anyhow, I decided to leave because I had already been at the store close to 2 hrs, even thought the lady at checkout was lovely, checkout took about 40 minutes. I go back today to pick up my order and the gentleman working on the pick up area (July 6th 5 PM shift) tells me that my order was already picked up. I let him know what happened and he has the nerve to tell me I should have let him know that to begin with when I just did. For what purpose? To waste more of my time. This man goes on to try to find excuses as to why my order wasn’t delivered during my first attempt. So much for...
