Aurum Design Jewelry — Local services in Rochester

Purchased two gorgeous rings from Aurum within the past 11 months. Last week found an emerald stone was missing along with two cracked stones in one ring while the second ring I purchased more recently end of Nov 2023 has chips in the peridot.

I made these purchases because of their said quality. The owner, Darren refused to work out an exchange or accept a return for the jewelery stating that its worn jewlery. While I have reccomened Aurum to many in our community and felt that thee staff and I built relationships, I can no long reccomend their business.

During my careful purchases, I shared my intentions I had with the jewelry (to wear daily) to the staff and now that my jewelry has flaws... they've shared that these specific types of jems are not for every day and that it depends on how I wear it. Ohhhhh, do I love this jewelry store!!! Daren's design's are AMAZING and the staff is so helpful & friendly! After 27 years of marriage, on the day of my Dad's funeral in September (2014), somehow I actually lost my wedding rings and a chocolate & white diamond ring.... Of course, we went to Aurum! Sooo many lovely rings!!! Betty made the whole experience fun and she was extremely knowledgable about diamonds! In fact, my only complaint was that there were TOO MANY EXQUISITE RINGS to choose from!!!! I did finally choose one gorgeous ring..... it's just too beautiful! Very friendly staff, and very very excellent work. Twice I have brought damaged jewelry in to have it fixed or manipulated/changed/added to, and Daren has done a spectacular job. I also have brought my watch in there twice as well to have the battery replaced. Costs for repairs are more than affordable and no matter what you pay or what you buy you always get a considerably higher quality than the price you pay. Simply put, it is always done right the first time, and it always turns out exactly how I wanted it.

I don't go to any other jeweler, and I tell all my friends to take their broken jewelry to Aurum.
