Let’s start with my wife visited this place when it just opened and overall the experience was bad. Long wait times, terrible food, chaotic/unorganized staff.
We decided to give it a shot today and let them redeem. Fortunate for us we didn’t spend a dime there before we left after being seated for less than two minutes.
We went in through the back and asked for roof seating. It’s earlier afternoon on a Sunday so the place was not busy. The girl up front was very nice and directed us up to the roof to be seated. We went up and were meat right away and had our pick to sit wherever. We saw a table in the corner with an umbrella folded up and chose that one. We sat down and the server slapped some menus and silverware down and walked away without saying anything back to the bar where the other staff were all standing and talking. We tried to open the umbrella and a piece of metal around three feet long fell out of the umbrella and directly onto my wife’s leg. I looked up and noticed the piece that fell was being held together with tape. At this point we noticed her leg bleeding so we unwrapped our silverware to stop it. Please note the loud banging of metal didn’t disturb the staff standing 15 feet from us talking to each other. At this point while we were fending for ourselves, my wife looked at the silverware that was wrapped in the makeshift bandage we were using and seen larger chunks of food stuck onto the fork. As the frustration peaked my wife had seen enough and we left. As we walked right next to all the staff with blood running down her leg, not a SINGLE person stopped us, looked up, or even broke conversation! Can’t tell me they didn’t see us leaving. My wife is wearing a bright pink sweater!
Now obviously the acutal cut on her leg isn’t anything to run to the hospital for but the fact of the matter is this establishment needs to either coach, write-up, or even terminate some people. The place looks brand new on the inside but don’t be fooled. The umbrellas are held together by tape, with dirty silverware, and rude/inconsiderate staff.
Thank god I didn’t order anything since after reading the reviews on here it sounds like that’s garbage too. Won’t be back here while that owner and staff have a serious...
Read moreThe food was pretty good and the atmosphere is top-notch. I've been to all sorts of bars all over the east side of this country. I've been to bars in Atlanta. I've been to bars and in all sorts of beaches in Florida. I've been to bars in Northern Michigan. I've been to bars all over the place for the day. I don't go very often but sometimes while I'm on vacation, I'll go for the experience. Plus, just to have a good beer. A family member of mine was having a birthday party at the establishment and he's also has some troubling issues going on. So I was a little stressed out and I kind of wanted a hard cider. It was a pretty busy bar and the bartenders which there was three of them was helping the one counter tips or something. I wasn't really paying it much attention. All I knew is they didn't know I was there and they weren't facing the bar they were facing the wall. So just like in Atlanta or any busy bar where you're trying to get a bartenders attention, you have to yell sometimes. They are usually used to this and they don't give you a hard time about it. So I just just that. Figuring they didn't think anything of it plus, I left a really good tip. I went back up there and asked for another hard cider. That's when the bartender a dark haired girl who is taller than the others decided to voice her inexperience as a bartender. She yelled at me for yelling like I was doing something wrong and we weren't in a bar. This is quite possibly the worst bar I've ever been to in my entire life and I literally told her don't worry about it if your job is too hard. This is literally pretty much the main interaction that I had with any of the service. Due to this, I didn't stay very long at the party. I felt kind of alienated and also I was upset for the way I was treated. I'm sorry if I was just trying to get your attention and you took it the wrong way. That's crazy. Learn how to be...
Read moreI visited the restaurant on a Friday night. It was busy - but what restaurant isn’t on a Friday night? The hostess didn’t seem to be very organized as it related to seating tables. She just seemed to wander around looking for what might be open when seating. I probably stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes waiting for someone to even show up there anyway. Finally was seated and waited for another 10-15 minutes while no one said anything to me. There were a ton of waitresses walking around, however, in a very unorganized fashion. I finally asked someone if she knew who our server was and she said that she would go get her. Meanwhile, somebody could’ve brought me some water or something at least but nope, nothing. My waitress finally showed up and we put in drinks and appetizers. I am not sure if kitchen staff was low or what -but it probably took about 50 minutes to get spinach, dip, and wings and when the food was coming out, the staff just wandered around not knowing what table it even belonged to. There was only one guy who came out the back that seemed to know where the food belonged. The chips for the spinach dip was good. The wings did not have any flavor and could’ve been seasoned a bit better. There were a couple of other mistakes with the rest of my order and I could see mistakes with surrounding tables orders as well. They also seemed to run out of silverware and glasses as I was served my refill in a plastic cup, and I could see other people being brought out plastic knives and forks. I actually never even initially got silverware. The table next to me saw that we were waiting for some and they just gave us theirs. It was an entire mess as it relates to service. The waitress was nice and very apologetic , but this place was truly unorganized, and I will...
