So disappointed by the way my students and I were treated in the store tonight during the Kris Kringle Market. I am a teacher in the community and noticed one of my parents walking into the store. Wanting to say “hi”, I followed her in. Once inside I noticed a group of my students with her. We were all surprised and happy to see each other, greeting each other with hugs. As we were doing so, the cashier yelled “HEY! THIS IS STILL A STORE! THIS IS NOT THE NIGHT THE NIGHT FOR THAT!” confused and shocked we said a quick and quiet good-bye and left the store. I am so disappointed by this. Catching Fireflies is a small business supported by our community. They moved to main street for better foot-traffic and business, I’m assuming. On a fun, joy-filled night for our community, to be accosted for being joyful is awful. My own kids love this store, I love this store, but I will no longer be supporting it for how badly my students, my students’ parents and myself were treated and I hope no one else was treated as...
