terrible communication, and they also reset my phone completely and turned off my sim card for a simple front camera repair, which i had zero clue about. i went there to get my front camera replaced, and when i first went there, the guy helping me told me that since the camera was attached to the screen, the screen would be replaced too, but they didn’t do that. they also didn’t tell me i only had a week to come in for the repair or they’d send the part back. thankfully they had one in stock, but they should have communicated that with me. when i finally did get my phone repaired, they said it would be 3-4 hours, and they’d call my secondary number when it was ready to pick up. i waited about 6 hours, and there was absolutely zero phone call, and when i got to the store it was done and ready to be picked up. they ALSO reset my phone completely and DEACTIVATED MY SIM CARD. to fix the CAMERA. that was completely unnecessary. i live about 30 minutes away, so i don’t have the time or gas to be making trips into rochester every single day. when i went to the verizon store to get my phone turned back on, the verizon rep literally said that he had no idea why they needed to turn off the sim card and erase my phone, but they do it often enough that people regularly come in for help. if i could leave 0 stars, i would. there was zero communication on their end- if i had known they would reset my phone, i wouldn’t have gotten it fixed there. do not go to the geek squad, go to...
Read moreIf they are to busy to answer the phone their service transfer system is confusing and will patch you to either a different geek squad service close to the area or someone at best buy. This can be confusing and will lead to customer misunderstandings and disservice. However bad that is and i experienced that numerous times, I can't let that influence my review on the people and service i received in store. They built my computer with all the parts i provided from scratch. There were numerous manufacturer defects in my parts that would have confogled anyone with moderate experience, including myself, including those pesky motherboard defects. Geek Squad persisted in getting my computer built and provided man hours and service to get the job done for me without inflating the price based on defects that none of us had control over. I will be looking for their services again in the future and will recommend them to anyone needing computer repair. Waited and waited, called back and got told they didn’t have any transaction from me and had to figure that out. Got told I would be kept up to date when the part is in. Finally called them again and was told “oh yeah, it’s in” so I make an appointment. Just went in for that appointment and was informed my part was returned due to how long I waited for an appointment. I was never contacted via phone nor email about the part being in, and was only sent survey emails about the service (prior to even getting anything done). Had to ask about a refund to be given.
