Let me begin by expressing how impersonal the employees are at this location. When I went to drop off my laptop due to power/battery issues, I was told that it was âlikely the battery.â I asked the employee if I would be provided with updates throughout the repair process. He assured me that they would send text messages to the phone number associated with my account. However, that never happened. I brought my device in on a Wednesday morning and heard NOTHING until the following Monday after I had called to get an update. The individual I spoke with on the phone said that the part they ordered took longer than anticipated to arrive and that they were currently working on repairing the battery. It wouldâve been appreciated if this had been communicated as I utilize this laptop for work/teaching purposes. Instead I had to wait 5 days for any type of communication that I had to initiate as the customer. Essentially, they declared my device as âunrepairableâ with zero explanation.
Fast forward to when I picked up the device. Again, a lack of customer-service and positive interaction from the employee assisting me. I told him my name and he handed me back my device the same way it was when I dropped it off. He was about to just send me on my way before I asked him to explain the process they attempted in order to âfixâ the device. When I had asked for suggestions on what else I could do or what he thought the issue was, the staff person rudely responded by asking, âWhat do you want done with it (referring to device)?â I responded by saying, âIâd just like it to work.â He then said, âItâs probably the motherboard, youâre better off just getting a new computer.â SoâŚit wasnât the battery that was the problem? The employees just seem to make guesses when diagnosing a device without fully communicating alternative solutions to their customers. Is a motherboard something this company could repair for me? I donât know as it just seemed like it was an inconvenience for the staff that I was even there asking for help. I wouldnât recommend this company due to the lack of customer service and communication that I...
Read moreI brought my phone in to have the screen repaired; it was a nightmare from the beginning. They said they would contact me when the new one arrived on Thursday. When I hadn't heard anything, I called on Friday and found out no one ordered it. When I went in to pick it up after the 4-hour time period it would take to fix it, they told me it wouldn't connect and they needed more time. I went in later and they said the charging port didn't work; I brought in a phone that was days old....there was no way the charging port didn't work. The worker acknowledged that they probably broke it and that they wouldn't charge for it. I waited another few days for the part to come in. I went in again and it still didn't work. I expressed my extreme frustration with the manager (who handled it very professionally) and said that not having my phone for 5 days when it was supposed to be a quick screen replacement was unacceptable. He assured me that once another new part came in, they would have it ready. I was clear that I was not paying for all this work being done! Fast forward another two days and I returned when I was told it would be ready....it wasn't. I contacted the manager and said I would be back in 3 hours and would either have my phone in complete working order, or a new phone! My phone was ready and I was charged $180. I expressed my great frustration with the process and they took $10 off...$10! I was assured my phone was restored in working order! When things weren't working properly, I brought it to Verizon where a wonderful young man discovered my sim card was not returned and he spent 35 minutes making phone calls trying to restore my phone. The sound no longer works and the only way I can hear callers is if I turn on the speaker phone! I am so angry that I can't even bring myself to go there again! I am beyond disappointed and angry that I still don't have a phone in working order; keep in mind I brought in a brand new phone for a screen...
Read moreI took my phone in yesterday after it fell into a muddy creek bed. Miraculously, the rest of the phone had been working just fine after sitting in rice. The only issue I had before bringing it in was moisture on the camera lenses. I brought the phone to attempt to have the water cleaned up. I decided to go with ufixibreak because they seemed to have good reviews. Man, I wish I had actually read all of the reviews before bringing my phone in. When I returned to pick up my phone from this business, the tech asked if I had removed the SIM card. No, I had not touched my SIM card. He looked concerned and took my phone back. After a 20+ minute wait and hearing who I presume was the original tech leave, a different tech came out and said the SIM was no longer working, and that the moisture damage likely slowly crept in. Sure enough, the SIM was no longer working. I ended up spending the rest of my evening buying a new phone. When I got home, my husband checked to see if the SIM card was still there. It was; however, it was completely dislodged and jammed below the SIM card holder. Again, I never removed my SIM card. Something clearly had gone wrong in the two and a half hours ubreakifix had it....yet I was told "it must be moisture damage." I am furious. My phone was working fine before I brought it in to ubreakifix. How convenient that my SIM card magically stopped working in the two and a half hours they had it. I wish I had never brought it to them. I feel like I paid $75 to have someone render my phone useless. I lost all of my contacts, messages, pictures, and videos from the last four years. No, none of my data would transfer because, since picking my old phone up from ubreakifix, the phone no longer connects to the internet or Bluetooth. I will likely need to pay another service to attempt to save my data. This has been a nightmare. Needless to say, I will never use this business again, nor would I recommend anyone...
