This is a long story, so settle in! Well over 3 years ago, we were looking for a new (King) bed. Friends had recommended Rest Assured (we live in Rochester, MN). We went there and to be honest, I nearly croaked at the price. There was no doubt in my mind that it was value for money, but when it comes to beds, I have always been cheap! As time went on, we were more and more desperate. I even posted on FB asking for suggestions and I got considerable possibilities.... but NOTHING seemed to be without challenges. Yup, a lot cheaper, but not really cutting it. Finally, just before Christmas, I lost it! I was looking at the website and noticed that a FB friend had posted a (very positive) review. I contacted her, and she confirmed that she felt they were outstanding. Off we went back to Rest Assured. I confess that I was so stressed, I was not my usual respectful self. I said to the (lovely) lady, “I have been ready to press the button on a Macy’s bed and do you know why? Because I can send it back if I am not happy”. Without missing a beat, she said, “Let me tell you what we do. If you purchase a bed from us and it is too hard, we will add another layer for (don’t quote me... I think) $200. If it is too soft we will take it back and remove the layer free of charge . We don’t care how often .... it all happens here.” (And that is right...You can see through to the back where they make these beds. We tried their three possibilities ... and decided on the middle one... so one level softer than their base range. So, THEN, I decided that IF we were going to pay over $3K for this bed, I wanted it on a credit card where I could get airline points...we only had Amex and they did not take. “No problem, just let us know when it is through.” Me, “Would you like a deposit?” “No, you can even pay when we deliver the bed.” (We did go in an pay ahead of the delivery). I mean....seriously.... we pushed out delivery on two occasions, never a drama. The bed arrived just before Christmas and we were going away so did not move to this bed until our return. Oh.my.gosh! I am not exaggerating when I say I have traveled the world and slept in many high quality beds.... this one is THE best bed we have ever slept in. Every night, I think... is it possible it is so comfortable? It is! Fun piece of trivia.... the two young men who delivered the bed. Delightful and nothing was too much trouble. There was zero pressure. Such a rewarding experience and a reminder that not everyone is on a sales commission and fighting to convince you to buy. (I believe) you will not be...

My mattress was a dud. It began sagging within nights. By the second week there was so little spring left it was unusable. When I called about it, they told me sorry, no refunds. Tried to use it after a few months, same thing.
A year later I was moving and had to get rid of it and tried them again. For some reason, this time they came and picked it up and tried to fix it. Which I appreciate, but why not the first time I called? When I picked it up after they tried to fix it, they told me if it isn't fixed they don't know what to say, but that it wasn't my fault at all.
Well it didn't work at all, but by then I had moved. I recently bought a good mattress that came with some kind of return policy, and had them take this one away, having slept on it for about one...
Read moreIt's hard to "Rest Assured' when you spend $2,000 on a mattress that's uncomfortable & there's no return policy. They do offer to exchange it, but that costs additional $$, and any amendments they make to the bed to try and make it right also cost a lot of money.
A better decision is to buy somewhere that has a more flexible return policy or the ability to work with you to get the bed to meet your needs.
I do like that this store is family owned & they are nice people. I just don't like the way they do business (I knew this bed wasn't right within the first week and still very little could be done without spending a...
