I had to change my review from 5 stars to just 2. I have been shopping at this store for about 10 years now. Things use to be great. Friendly service and clean stocked shelves. Within the last few months this store has drastically gone down hill. When trucks come on Saturday the shelves are still not stocked in the middle of the day. If you ask for an item you will be told “ It’s too far buried to get if for you right now”. Saturday is a busy day for grocery shopping yet you have to navigate around boxes and people stocking shelves late in the day. Shelves should probably be stocked early in the morning and not during busy times. Another change I have noticed is in customer service. Employees who are not busy and mangers will stand there and watch a cashier with a big order try to scan and bag groceries at the same time. It’s becoming more and more normal to come in and watch cashiers stand around having conversations and not helping out. Managers will stand around and watch you bag your own groceries. With 3 children one being a toddler this is very difficult. The produce department has also gone down hill. So many moldy or rotten vegetables and fruit. I was shopping for onions today and they were so rotten in the bag that they leaked all over the place. It was like mush in my hand and got all over me and the buggy. I live so close to this location and have spend thousands of dollars in this store. I’m unfortunately going to have to start driving across town to the other store. Something needs to change. Management obviously needs to step up. I’m not sure if it’s because new managers or they just don’t...
Read moreI just want to say that Ms. Sheila has a heart of gold! She may not think that she did much for my family and I, but what she didn't know was everything that life has thrown at me for the past couple months. She didn't ask any questions or try to just fix a mistake and get me out the door. She simply acted with pure kindness, regardless of why I came back in with questions on my grocery bill. When I left that store, I quickly realized that there are still GREAT people with BIG hearts in this world. The understanding and kindness that she showed me without knowing all of my personal details was something that you don't experience very often anymore in this crazy world! As I was ready to just give up and take my business elsewhere (because I typically shop at Walmart), after being a customer of Ms. Sheila's (and because of HER), I will ABSOLUTELY be a Food Lion shopper from here on out! Thank you, Ms. Sheila for being the good that we all wish to see in this world. Your genuine compassion and understanding turned a very stressful experience into a very...
Read moreI moved here from Charlotte 5 years ago came to Rock Hill made Food Lion my store for groceries. But when the cashier tells you that "you can bag your own groceries if you don't like the way I'm bagging them then you can bag him yourself"I spend an average of $100 a week there multiply that times 52 weeks multiply that times 5 years for that rudeness they lost my business which the recoup do they care haven't heard nothing back from them so Food Lion across point you lost basically between me and my wife probably $40,000 years in groceries because of a cashier that was having a bad day and had to talk back to a customer... I deal with clients and customers everyday but it doesn't matter what kind of day you're having you have to swallow your pride your problems you clock in you go to work and you put on a face it's the way it is nowadays All everybody is looking for is kindness not rudeness if you if you don't like your position your job your work the best thing you can do is quit and find something that you're happy doing Don't be rude to people...
