Upon arrival, a total of 3 guests waited at entry while the attending hostess was dithering with other employees. After patiently waiting and still having been unattended by the hostess, this 1st time guest proceeded to the patio to dine. I respectfully communicated to establishment personell: 3 male waiters standing at the rear POS, I would like to dine and be seated in the patio area.
Abruptly and rudely, I was told to return to the front where a hostess would be to seat me: no hostess was in the front area for 15 minutes..."will get one for you!" Rather rude, but I returned to entry where the hostess finally arrived after an additional 5 minutes +/- of waiting.
Ms. Karen, the Hostess, ultimately took me to a fithly table on the patio and placed my dining serviceware a top the table without regard to it's filth. I literally had to go back into the restaurant and request someone to come clean the seating area.
The first waiter arrived with attitude and commentary that abruptly stated without welcome or regard, "what's up boss man?" Needless to say, he did not return.
Thankfully, Ms. Baylee grabbed the bull by the horns and saved the day. 5 minute rule applied. Follow-up times 3, extra napkins, salsa, pleasantries and kindness with a brilliant smile - all adding simple flavor to an other wise delightfully palatable meal.
The guacamole salad is without question the most fresh and desirable ever savored. The polo de tequila balances sweet and salty with fresh grilled pineapple, a fabulous red tequila sauce.
Charro beans - a tad bit salty for my pallet but acceptably delicious.
And for the ambience seating outside within the patio, God blessed this meal with a cool breeze and a beautiful mist of rain on an otherwise 95 degree day.
Thank you Ms. Baylee for your exemplary customer service! Accolade to an otherwise poor customer service introduction and seating by multiple employees of Charonda.
3 stars for Charonda - 5 stars for Ms....
Read moreWent there for lunch today around 1145. They were not busy, it took like about 10 minutes to acknowledge us and get our drink orders. We then ordered our food and I ordered a drink off their menu I've had before. When I received this drink it looked nothing like it did in the past. So I sent it back, and he brought me another one. Again, looked nothing like it was supposed to. I could tell it wasn't even made with the mixers listed on the menu. I could understand if I asked for a random drink, but this drink is on your menu unacceptable. So I said something about it again, he's kind what is it missing. It's supposed to have blended strawberries and coconut cream. He was like I don't know what coconut cream is, I added coconut rum. The driver K doesn't call for coconut rum. I agree with the other review, they need a legitimate bare tender. He then took the drink told me it was okay, that he would drink it and take it off my bill. I mean seriously, if you don't know what your doing either ask or say I can't make that or we don't have the ingredients to make that. Well moving on to your actual meal. I ordered fajitas they bring out the food, no tortillas for the fajitas. So I sat there for 10 minutes while my food gets cold waiting to see another employee, now again they aren't busy. So we finally flag one down and he response is we're out of them. At this point I'm furious with the whole drink ordeal and now this. So I said if that's the case someone should have told me before I ordered my food. He responds with I'm just joking. Well it would have been a funny joke had I not just sat here for 10 minutes waiting. If you really want to eat at Charandas go to the one in Fort Mill, much better customer service and they know how to...
Read moreI never have a good experience here. Last time I went, 2 hours before close. Once they actually attended our table 40 minutes later, I order the simpliest meal possible to make it less of a hassel but we were no where near the last person to arrive or order, they definitely weren't a packed house, just apparently felt like ignoring us, which is hard because I'm always dressed brighter than a carebear. I was given no silverware, plasticware, or what have you. So I ate with my hands until other people at our table got sick of it and we went and got our own to-go containers from the server station and interrupted a table and their server (not ours) so we could get the check, that was 30 mines before close. We also at one point had to get another server to get us tea because the manager (clearly dressed to indicate such) and our server didn’t even after we asked. Frankly I didn't even want the food at that point I just wanted them to treat us with respect and give us utensils but that is clearly out of the question. I never choose to go here because the food is mid at best but our friends always invite us here. I will be declining from now on. If you have human interaction and dim lighting thus isthe placefore you, just don't expect to eat, and pack...
