Verizon — Local services in Rockland

I was in last week and also yesterday to pick up a new Ipad. I spoke to Nate, the owner & manager and he was terrific. Having done some homework before with some folk who are computer/tablet savvy, I was clear about what I was looking for, and he was very helpful, offering occasional suggestions. As an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, who has done research in the work place, I noticed that the customer service folk were very busy, and clearly having a good time. Nate is a relatively new owner, and he gets it. Ended up talking with other folk who were there to get things done--phones, tablets, computers, and everyone had smiles on their faces. Nate understands customer service, and he seems also to understand the importance of keeping the employees engaged and happy. It was a great experience. PS, they didn't have a cover for the Ipad that I wanted, so I wandered over to Staples to get a Logitech cover/keyboard combination. Very pleased with the...

Went in to buy an iPhone for my 80-year-old mother. Everything these people have to say is along the lines of: “can’t can’t can’t or but but but”. Walking through the process Verizon employees tell you have to go do this online or that online. She’s 80 without a smart phone. At one point it was suggested to switch “her to us cellular.” And looking at a preowned phone was “but that is used.” 😳 “And you have to go do that online.” So I offered to do it right their on the computer. What’s the point of having a walk in store front if people won’t help you? Least helpful is the male Karen of a manager.

Try flipping the script Rockland’s Verizon employees “sure, let’s outline step by step, how to take advantage of our great deals.” Such a small thing but it seems out of their wheelhouse.

Great phones, good service, quick workers, always smiling. I went their to buy a new phone they choose the best phone for my needs, helped me learn how to use it, and set it all up. Very happy with the service they provided. Happy with their service. Service was very fast, they had me approved within minutes. They ran my credit as if it was no challenge at all, and succeeded to take my business with gratitude. Very friendly workers, with a bright smile on their face. Sometime it can get busy, but typically they'll have you out the door in a few minutes. Overall it's a fantastic business, they made me feel welcomed, and helped me set up auto-pay.
