We went here last night for a nice, sit down dinner. The place was hopping and I love to see that! Took a minute to get seated but I’m a-ok with that. Once we got a comfy little table, we started with a giant and wonderfully cheesy dish of nachos and I had a silky, virgin pina colada. I got some Caesar and my uncle had French onion soup— favorites in our family. Both very pleasing. We waited a little for our mains and the waitress (didn’t catch her name but OMG she was the absolute cutest!) asked if we wanted anything else. We were confused and were like, yeah m, our main dishes? She was like oh yeah any minute. Cut to five minutes later when the manager came over l. She told us our food went missing! She retook our order and promised it would be on wheels! Full from the apps, we didn’t care at all, we liked the leisure pace. The waitress brought us some popcorn while we waited but we get it, things happen. Orders get lost and it was very busy with minimal staff—no harm no foul. The food finally arrived PIPING HOT. Got a seafood platter and what a treat! Tons of seafood and fries straight from the fryer. Everyone else said the same thing about their dishes. So satisfying. After we demolished the great food, the manager came back and told us because of the error we were only being charged for the apps and drinks!! The customer service is BEYOND EXPECTATION. She didn’t need to discount it that deeply but it really shows what kind of establishment is being run that they cared that much about our satisfaction to be so generous! Definitely coming back!! All and all it was one of the best experiences and kudos to the manager for being so on her game. Greatly...

We have gone to Waterworks Restaurant quite a bit and never had a bad thing to say about this establishment at all. From this summer 2017, this place has gone downhill like I've never seen. The wait staff was attentive and very pleasant, before, but they've hired a girl, that unfortunately we'd get every time we'd go in and I can't believe I didn't ask for someone else, as she is rude and makes you feel that she's doing YOU a favor. There were 6 of us, and we even made reservations, a few days before Christmas and 2 of the 6 got there before the time we reserved and they were told that they had a table for us, but someone sat and wouldn't get up! We got there a couple minutes later and was told that we were getting sat in the outer room, where it was just freezing! I went in and asked about the table that was reserved and got lied to, by the waitress that isn't very friendly. We were celebrating a person in the group that turned 50 that day, and I have to tell you it was disgraceful, to say the least! We left and went where we were treated with respect and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. None of us will EVER go into Waterworks...

My food was good but my daughter ordered a side caesar salad, even pointing it out on the menu. The waitress didn't write our order down which made me a little skeptical. When we received the bill, I was billed for a dinner size salad which was twice as much. Money was not the issue, my daughter didn't even like the salad and didn't eat any of it, which I was willing to let go and still pay for it. When I mentioned to the waitress that our bill was incorrect she was outright mean and argued that my 13yr old hadn't said "side" salad. I said yes she did and she even pointed to it on the menu, not to mention she didn't like it and didn't eat it (it was still sitting on the table just as it came). She was so rude I will never return to this place. I've been here 3 times and every single time I have had a problem with my order and then a problem with the waitstaff when I try to get it fixed. She made the dinner salad half off on my bill, which made it a dollar less than the side salad. When she brought my check back she loudly and rudely announced the change and said there now it's even a dollar less. I was disgusted...

After traveling all day I needed something to eat. This place was closest to the hotel, so this was it. Walked in, promptly was greeted by staff, asking where I’d like to be seated, I eventually sat at the bar. Ordered a pint of the Irish Red on tap, nice floral notes on the back end, highly drinkable. I ordered the Hangry Burger medium rare with a side of onion rings. Just as the burger came I quick grabbed the coffee porter. Then I dug in. Burger was cooked to perfection, and was a nice sized patty as well. I was expecting the typical pub grub smash burger, boy was I wrong. The burger with the jalapeños and pepper jack cheese what a treat. IMO I’d ditch the tomato and add a creole mayo sauce. Overall a delicious burger. The porter was also a delight, almost like a desert in a can. Staff chill and the cooks know how to serve up the good food perfect! I’m a returning customer thats for sure.

We stopped here on a late Tuesday afternoon in November for a drink and a quick snack after checking out the Rockland Breakwater lighthouse. We sat at the bar. The bartender was personable and attentive. She recommended the fried green tomato caprese so we got that and it was very good. The drinks were good as well. There was a power outage on the street while we were there and almost everyone in the place just turned on their phone lights so they could see each other and finish eating. The bartenders were very apologetic. We had already finished eating by then and were finishing up. Mercury was probably retrograde or something. We still enjoyed it regardless. I would go here again if we are ever in the area again.

The service and ambiance was solid. I think overall considering the price a 100% mediocre (not good not bad) spot for Rockland. While I was there I took a poll of the table to see what my friends thought. One said 4-star. One said 3-star. I said 2-star. I averaged it out to a 3-star for this review. I would recommend Wasses hot dog stand just down the street for someone who is looking for a 4+ star experience.
