This place was a classic, in demand hot dog right off Main Street driving through Rockland South on Route1. Menu classic hot dogs on a bun with a variety of fixings. Short wait in a seemingly continuously filled order line from locals. Attractive, interesting big sign "Wasses" over the hot dog shack. So it must be good and it was! Basic includes mustard, relish, and onions. I bought one of those for $3.50 and one with sauerkraut and mustard for $4.00. Ice cold soda for $1.50. Quick and easy. On our bucket list every year when we’re visiting on vacation! The hot dogs are grilled on-site, prepared to order, and while there’s always a long line, it’s extremely quick and definitely worth the few minutes wait. The quality(especially for an establishment with such little room) is unbeatable, and they provide an apt amount of parking and outdoor bench seating for our entire family. The only reason we come to Rockland, is to eat Wasses Hot Dogs! Please remember to bring cash as they don't accept cards. We found this out recently, as after we ordered and handed her our debit card, she casually slides it back and says we don't take those (she was so cool about it). We didn't have any cash on us, so she pointed us to the nearest ATM and then said go enjoy your lunch first before it cools off. Wow! Not too many places would be so kind.
