H-E-B — Local services in Rockport

I feel like Rockport’s H‑E‑B is a great store. Always clean and friendly. Have used the grocery pickup service many times and loved the convenience of it. However my most recent experience was less than acceptable. I understand it was Mother’s Day weekend and they were very busy but we waited for an hour and a half to get our order while we watched many cars coming and going with their orders. After an hour of waiting I finally asked one of the attendants why it was taking so long and received no apology or explanation just that he would be right out with it. Thirty minutes later my husband stood in a check out line for 5 minutes to talk to a manager and was told they were very busy but they would be right out. He told her that we had been waiting for a hour and a half. Finally received groceries from same previous attendant who just threw them in the trunk and said nothing. They managed to have no issues charging me for what I ordered with in minutes of pick up though. Will not use Rockport pick up service again could have done it myself faster. If they would have at least been civil and explained in advance or apologized even, might have been willing to try again. Will continue to shop here just not through the online service,...

The store is running a promotion right now where if you buy $8 in Texas Roots produce products you get $2 off. We bought two Texas Roots products and the coupon did not activate on checkout. We complained..... the checker called the manager Krystal over. One of the products we bought was labeled Texas Roots. One of the products we bought was labeled Texas Roots and also HEB organics. So as logic would have it, this product is a Texas Roots product and a HEB organics product. The store is also running a promotion on HEB organics products. If you buy a certain amount you get a certain amount off. Krystal explained to us that this is why we didn't get the coupon because the system is confused. She made every excuse in the book but did not give us our $2 off. Their system issue and their false advertising is not my problem. They owe us $2 and did not give it to us. I got to say by far this is one of the better HEBs. Great variety of meats seafoods produce a pretty well all around store. I can usually count on them having what I need when I need it. Service was fast friendly there were plenty of cashiers and lines open. I would have to say the store was well managed did not have to wait an exceptionally long time to cash out. Front end management definitely had a head on their shoulders and new how to handle scheduling and demands. Because of that I gave the store a five stars. Also store was clean well organized prices all were correct it drives me nuts when they miss price stuff and I find out at the register because I do check my receipt. This is a problem I find a lot at Walmart but I do occasionally find it at HEB stores. I do wish I had taken some photos of the store to post the next time I go back I would definitely do that.
