Fun place to shop and sometimes you can find a good deal. However it's not unusual for me to find something labeled incorrectly. Example: one vendor had a ceramic windmill labeled as vintage delft blue from the Netherlands but when I flipped it upside down in said made in Japan. So a lot of the vendors don't actually check what their items are or I find forever 21 clothing for sale at $20-30. Forever 21 is super cheap brand new usually $5-$15 so I can never justify paying more for an item second hand. It's important to remember that most of them aren't professional appraisers and antique experts. It's don't on the side or as a hobby so I recommend researching your items before purchasing or thoroughly examining your items. I also visited their midtown location and had an issue. I found a delft blue vase that had a $1 tag on it. I got really excited because it was cute. It was smaller than my hand and meant for a single stem. Then after I was shopping for about 30mins I realized there was another tag on it for $18. The vendor bought it for $1 and marked it up to $18 then forgot to take the original price tag off. They wouldn't honor it so I left it behind. It wasnt a hand painted vase(printed) and I wasn't going to pay $18 for something the size of my fist.🤷♀️ I have found some really cool pyrex and pie plates though! Overall not a bad spot. Just be careful checking labels and research the items you think are a good deal if you're...
Read moreThis is a great place if you are a collector, love antiques, or trying to find a rare vintage piece. There is something for everyone and you really can’t leave the store without buying something. I’ve found small trinkets that I would’ve not been able to find on Amazon or anywhere else. The variety of vendors is great and I love how they for the most part cater towards the current holiday/season.
But I can only give this place three stars due to my run ins with the customer service here. I find that I and my friends get followed a lot when we are. It gets annoying and is incredibly obvious. Never bring a purse here or they will treat you like a thief. Not only that but I find my interactions with the cashiers to be awkward at best and deliberately intimidating at worst. I never get greeted first, I have to greet them, but before that you enter a staring contest with the cashier. And u think maybe they’re just like that but they socialize with each other perfectly fine. Been working in customer service for half a decade this is definitely not a friendly/pleasant experience. That followed with being tailed around the store makes it...
Read moreFirst time and never going back. Went there to see if they had specific cups I had been looking for. I did end up finding them but was annoyed by one of the staff following me up and down the aisles. She kept looking at my small harness bag. I got so fed up with it I finally asked her if i was supposed to check it in at the front desk. Not a comfortable feeling at all. Were you looking at me because you were concerned about theft in my small bag that could fit a hamster or was it because I was a minority? Never going back and...
