Had the worst experience here on 9/10/17! First it took a minimum of 5 minutes to be acknowledged and order our food. Before this you could hear the people working behind the counter basically arguing over how long people are waiting and what things they are out of (one lady had been waiting for at least 10 minutes & still had not received her full order yet). Once we finally order turns out they were completely out of at least 2 sides (corn and cole slaw). I went to go sit down while waiting for my food and I could hear another customer talking about how they were out of napkins. The bathrooms has hand dryers so no paper towels could have been used from there as an alternative. Once our food was ready turns out they were completely out of 2 or 3 of their sauces. At this point my boyfriend was annoyed at not having any of this information told to us upfront and spoke with the manager. Her only response was that it was out of her control. We sit down to eat and hear other people ordering their meals only for them to be told they were out of something as well (was only mentioned after they tried to order it. The people working were never upfront about any of this). The boyfriend had to go and ask for paper towels at the front counter in order to wipe our hands. Since they were obviously aware of having no napkins, I feel like the paper towels should have been automatically offered! It's simply good customer service to offer an alternative to a basic need, such as napkins. There was another customer in the dining area attempting to clean his hands with just the paper they put down on the trays, so we shared our paper towels with him. Which prompted a conversation about the poor service received and lack of basic items in the restaurant. Another customer waiting for their food commented as well stating they were not surprised and had given up earlier in the week because they had taken so long to get their food and were giving it a second chance. It was mentioned that they were out of napkins and an employee walked in and with attitude commented "we have napkins now". I can only assume he went to another place an to get them as he was coming in from outside. However after all that had transpired the attitude that came across was very much unappreciated. Not one employee, including the manager, was ever apologetic in anyway. I understand human error happens. Or maybe a shipment of supplies were delayed for whatever reason. However there was no reason to make the situation worse by the attitudes received from the employees. You should apologize and be upfront and honest about the situation before any problems could occur. We will never be eating at this location again! Worst experience and customer service received and our money can and will be spent elsewhere, where we as the customer are appreciated and treated...
Read moreYears ago I enjoyed coming to Popeye's at this location, but the last few times have been disappointing- neutral to unpleasant service, errors in the order, and long waits. But after today I will not return to this location. Placed an online order with "drive through" pick up. When I arrived, it took an abnormally long time for them to acknowledge me through the drive-through- I was just getting ready to back up and approach it again, wondering if I failed to trigger a notification that someone was there. They asked me to wait, so I waited some more. Then she offered to take my order through the drive-through (this is relevant later). I said I had an online order with drive-through pick up and gave my name. She asked me to pick it up inside. I try to be accommodating and figured I could run inside and grab it-it was before 11am and not that hot yet, but the door near my vehicle was locked so I had to run all the way around the building and wait in line; during my time inside, I see them help a car at the drive through. I had my dogs in the car so I'm starting to panic. I finally reach the counter and she asks for my name, digs through a pile of papers on her counter, can't find my order, then finds it on her register. I realized they haven't packed my order yet so I ask them to please bring it outside, as my dogs are in the car. She tells me I have to wait, and I explain again that my dogs are in the car and can I just pull up through the drive through- as I'm talking to her she is walking away, and tells me, over her shoulder before disappearing that "it'll be ready when it's ready". I dash out to my car and turn the air up... luckily it wasn't too hot, though I could tell it would have been very quickly. I pull back into the drive-through and the first lady explodes with a sigh, asking me (rudely) if "were you just in here? and you JUST LEFT?" and hands me off to another employee. So I explain again that I have dogs in my car and I can't just leave them in there. They tell me they're short staffed and can't bring it out to me. Fine- can I just pull up to the window to wait? That's when they inform me that they "can't provide drive-through service cause they're short staffed" and tell me again that I just have to "come in and wait". I understand the world is short staffed. I understand having to wait. I do NOT understand how they could not have me wait in the drive through line to hand me the bag out of the window- which obviously functions as they 1) offered me the chance to order through the drive through when I first pulled up and 2) served a customer while I was inside. The first lady who served me was arrogant and dismissive. The second used a polite voice but provided NO service. I don't know what is happening at this location but it has gone...
Read moreDisappointed by my favorite place to buy fried chicken. Sad. My chicken was straight up BURNT. I have NEVER had BURNT fried chicken here before. It is usually always perfectly tender and juicy, except for tonight. Ordered quite a lot of food thru app, drove thru drive thru to pick up, got to the speaker was told to just “go ahead” no greeting no hello, no what can I get for you? no professionalism and enjoyment in her job, or etiquette to treat a paying customer excited for their food whom was taking a break from being vegetarian for this usually wonderful chicken. I told her I was picking up for an order thru the app, she asked what the name was, and said hold on… minutes passed me just waiting. She got on the speaker and said “are you ready to order?” I just waited, for it to click for her that she left me on hold. “Oh, what was the name?” I had put in the order 30minutes ago meaning it should be more than ready, it wasn’t I was told to park and they would bring it to me. Also, didn’t get ANY SAUCES THAT I ORDERED! This place is horrible with sauces, they don’t want to give you any. Period. Why was it burnt? WHY?!? I’m so upset because, I drove all the way up the hill to Placerville, to surprise my parent’s with POPEYES, but I opened the box to find burnt 36PIECES OF CHICKEN and the other 8 nuggets which were also burnt. They were not busy, they had plenty of people working, so why was the service and FOOD so terrible?!? I’m coming back for a refund. It was that bad. Period. I never do this, but I will because I’m a huge Popeyes fan. Manager, coach your staff. The food and experience was horrible. Who have you hired? I know times are tough with people willing to work, but they still need to be doing a good job and not caring and...
