I'm a regular, and a VIB Rouge member at Sephora. I come into this location a ton alone, and with my sister. I've had a few positive customer service experiences.. although this last time was an awful mess.
My sister and I went yesterday 11/11/24 to grab the OS Setting Spray, along with a few other pricier items that we knew we wanted to spend up on since it was the sale. We were aware of the promotional that we saw online, where we are able to spend $50 and get an included Sephora cloth tote bag. When we were at the register the employee an brunette woman with brown eyes, and bigger in stature was being friendly until we asked for the tote bag she was being condescending in her tone. Although we still got our transaction completed, afterward I was in the travel sized aisle spraying a Charlotte Tilbury setting spray, because I really wanted to know if it had a fragrance to it. I was going to purchase it. Until she stopped helping the next customer in line, and started yelling out to me that I'm not allowed to spray the product.
A few things that I have to say is wrong with this comment. First of all, my sister and I were just helped by her minutes ago, and she was interrupting the next customer in line. She didn't need to stop the 10 person line to scream at me rudely. Also, I just spent over $70 worth of products at the store. Who knows if I was going to purchase what I just "accidentally" sprayed. I wanted to see if I liked it the scent first. I do not know what her deal was. We left feeling outed, and not valued as customers after spending a lot of money.
My sister and I called and filed a complaint minutes after we left the store. The man we got on the phone was kind, and offered to let us know that he'll speak with his team. I most likely will not be coming back to this location. Which is a huge bummer because my sister and I enjoy shopping in store for...
Read moreAs a former Sephora employee, I am disappointed in this location and have been on multiple occasions. The customer service is nowhere to be found. I am still a professional in the beauty industry and was appalled when I heard one of this store’s employees tell a customer, “I know more than you,” when the customer simply asked if the shade match she was given looked correct. Today, I asked for a sample of a Dior foundation as I’m usually a NARS fan but was open to trying something new. Again, as a professional in the beauty industry, and as most customers, I’d like to wear it with the other products I use and test out the longevity, finish, etc. I spend so much money in Sephora and was once again APPALLED when the individual at the door (who already looked at me crazy when I asked for the sample) told me he was only going to give me “enough for a swatch to see if I have an allergic reaction, not enough to last a day or two.” So am I supposed to walk around with just one swatch of the foundation all day? That doesn't even make any sense. Additionally, stores are provided with a budget that allows for testers so they cab give their customers samples and use the products in their services! I'm not new to this! If this is a new policy, I highly recommend y'all rethink it (even though I received a normal sample a month ago at a different location) If this this store's choice, your service is already subpar so once again, I'd rethink this. Lastly, if your employee needs an attitude check or didn't want to provide me with the bare minimum of service because I didn't "look" like someone who would have a standard for such (wearing workout clothes), then you should also rethink who you're hiring - corporate would be...
Read moreI’m not sure if they have gotten relaxed with their employees but I went in to try and get matched for foundation and didn’t have a good experience here. The lady that helped me didn’t seem to really know what she was doing and didn’t seem familiar with products. She brought over the color match tool, which in the past has matched me with a color that appears darker than I am and I’ve told her that. She matched me anyway and didn’t really seem to follow the color match or anything I told her I was interested in. I explained I wanted something matte and something that is light to buildable coverage. Not only did she keep show My me dewy finish products but she was showing me full and heavy coverage products. I mentioned wanting a tinted moisturizer and she kept showing me products that I didn’t want. When she was “attempting to match me she kept putting product all over the tops of my hands and my wrist with her fingers!!! and the colors were WAY OFF. Extremely dark and nothing ended up matching me because I don’t think she knew what she was doing. I’ve always had such helpful advice from the employees at Sephora but over the past couple years with Covid I haven’t been wearing much makeup. But I’m the past the employees seemed very knowledgeable and when they tried to match me they would use some disposable tools and apply it to my face/chin. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this Sephora. Maybe I’ll go back to the one at the mall and hope these employees know what they’re doing...
